12 highlights of UEH in 2020

2020 is a year full of fluctuations for the education sector and whole society. With the wise, flexible, constantly innovative direction of the Board of Directors; the efforts, solidarity and consensus of the collective of officials and employees, Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics (UEH) has achieved many positive and remarkable results in training, scientific research and in administration. Let's take a look back at UEH's 12 highlights and celebrate what we have achieved in 2020!

1. Successfully organized the Party Congress of the School for the term of 2020 - 2025 and established the School Council for the term of 2020-2025 with strategic orientations, especially the implementation of 9 major projects to improve the academic reputation, brand and to internationalize UEH.

2. UEH was ranked in the Top 601+ universities in Asia for the first time by QS Asia. In addition, UEH continues to be ranked in the top 25 best universities in the world by U-Multirank for "contributing to lifelong professional development" in the field of Knowledge Transfer.

3. UEH leads economic sector schools and is in the Top 10 universities in Vietnam for international publication

4. Completed the re-organization of the school leadership (School Board, Board of Directors) in accordance with the Provisions of the Law on Higher Education to amend and complete the organization of units from the subject level, re-organize the management units according to the model of the enterprise (Department of Human Resource Management , Marketing - Communication Department, Department of Care and Support for Students, etc)

5. UEH established the first Campus and enrolled the students for the Regular university course in Vinh Long province, meeting the requirements of training high-quality human resources for the Mekong Delta.

6. To complete important enrollment targets, training tasks, scientific research, creating an important basis and solid foundation for UEH to implement breakthrough strategies for the period 2020 - 2025

7. UEH completed the upgrade the facility of UEH - Nguyen Tri Phuong Campus on the basis of putting into use the 15-storey building 279 Nguyen Tri Phuong (B1) and upgrading all classrooms and landscapes of lecture hall B2

8. Completion of 1^st phase – UEH Nguyen Van Linh Campus Project with 10 storey building and the 5 storey lecture hall, which will be put into use for teaching and learning from January 2021.

9. In the context of the impact and influence of Covid-19, UEH still ensures the stability of the lives of lecturers, officers and employees as well as actively supports and accompanies the difficulties of students.

10. All UEHer and its students actively and proactively implemented the online teaching and working model quickly and smoothly in the face of the impact of the Covid-19 pan-epidemic, making an important contribution to UEH's completion of its 2020 goals and tasks.

11. UEH actively promotes multi-disciplinary strategy, establishes institutes in new fields of technology, health, smart cities, and strengthens the application of technology in training, digitalization and digital transformation in administration activities
