Ensuring Fair Employee Rights in Third-Party Collaborations

15 Aug, 2023

Upholding Fair Rights According to Legal Standards

When contracting with third parties, UEH is committed to fully ensuring labor rights as stipulated by Vietnam's labor laws. For example, within the scope of its MOU and MOA partnership with Swinburne University to provide services for students in Vietnam, UEH emphasizes the prohibition of child labor, gender equality, and compliance with labor regulations. This commitment not only enhances UEH’s reputation among international partners but also fosters a healthy, ethical, and sustainable working environment.

Ensuring Fair Wages and Working Conditions

UEH collaborates with various service providers, including security and cleaning services for its facilities. In these contracts, the university mandates that third parties uphold employee rights related to wages, working conditions, and other entitlements as required by the Labor Code. These strict requirements allow UEH to select reliable partners and ensure that workers at UEH benefit from a positive and fair work environment, free from adverse conditions.

Through its policies and clear commitments, UEH not only safeguards employee rights but also contributes to building a fair and sustainable workplace. Recognizing that a positive, inclusive working environment is essential for achieving future sustainable goals, UEH will continue striving to ensure that all employees, regardless of affiliation, are granted fair, transparent, and respectful rights.
