What is studying Technology Administration and Innovation?

When learning about the Innovation major, I lelearnedbout skills and innovative methods so that it would be adequate and reasonable for customers and companies to adapt to changes and create breakthroughs in the future.

What job position can you do after studying Technology Administration and Innovation?

Studying Innovation, I can do things such as: managing a portfolio of innovation as well as innovation cycles or advising on innovation and managing IT and digital transformation projects in the business.

In the future, how do you think the labor needs of this industry will develop both domestically and internationally?

Currently, in the world, the innovation program of enterprises is developing a lot. However, in Vietnam, after COVID-19 many businesses have also implemented digital transformation quite a lot. They build foundations for businesses, but to create on those platforms requires quite a large workforce to meet the development of the next stages. The next wave is innovation to help companies to meet the changes; help businesses find new businesses, ones that they can survive for a long time in the future.

Misunderstandings about the discipline that you think people often have?

For Technology Administration and Innovation, people often confuse and focus on very high-tech technologies such as AI, VR, AR. However, I think I should see technology as a tool to serve innovation in the future.

What advice do you have for those who are about to pursue this discipline?

His advice to those pursuing Technology Management and Innovation is that you must be highly cooperative and develop a lot of communication skills. You have to communicate widely to link departments together as well as persuade leaders to implement innovation because, in businesses, people are resisting change, and leaders often protect the company to avoid risks. Your primary purpose when doing innovation is to link, help the company grow more and more.

Technology Administration and Innovation – The new discipline opens up many prospects.

Technology Administration and Innovation is a new discipline of the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH), opening up many prospects for students. Because promoting the country’s fast and sustainable development, the enhancement of innovation and the application of science and technology, especially high technology, is a pressing requirement today. Simultaneously, research and development activities and the implementation of technology to promote enterprises’ digital transformation are taking place firmly, requiring entrepreneurs to optimally use new technologies such as big data, artificial intelligence (AI), and the internet of things (IoT), etc. The discipline helps students become administrators and managers with the ability to optimize technology to lead businesses in innovation, creating business competitiveness in the digital era.
