International exchange between UEH and the National University of Indonesia

On January 24, 2024, a unique international academic exchange event between the School of Tourism of the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) and the Economics and Business Faculty of the National University of Indonesia (UNAS)  took place at UEH, opening up exciting opportunities for faculty and students to meet, share experiences, and collaborate in the field of tourism research.

In the context of an increasingly integrated world, the exchange between the School of Tourism and the Economics and Business Faculty is a significant step, highlighting the importance of international cooperation in tourism research. To kick off the meeting, UEH's tourism students became dedicated guides, leading their international friends from Indonesia to explore UEH's campus. From modern learning spaces to showcased projects, the students shared not only about UEH's education but also about the dynamic academic life of UEHers.

This special event also marks the close collaboration between UEH's School of Tourism and the NU’s Economics and Business Faculty. Representatives from both institutions, Dr. Nguyen Duc Tri - Head of the School of Tourism, and Prof. Kumba Digdowiseiso - Head of the Economics and Business Faculty, delivered welcoming remarks and introduced their respective universities as well as the potential for collaboration between the two sides.

The workshop between the two departments not only introduced their academic programs but also facilitated cultural exchange through diverse presentations. Students from UNAS brought fresh perspectives on tourism, ranging from tourist attractions to exquisite culinary experiences and the latest trends in medical tourism and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) in Indonesia through their research projects.

This exchange event not only provides an opportunity to explore cultures and tourism research but also opens the door for future international cooperation between the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City and the National University of Indonesia. It serves as an ideal occasion to foster close relationships between the two academic communities, contributing to the enhancement of education and research quality in the field of tourism in the future.
