From January 8-10, 2026, a series of key cooperative activities between the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) and the National Economics University (NEU) took place in Khanh Hoa Province, in celebration of UEH's 50th anniversary (1976-2026) and NEU's 70th anniversary (1956-2026). The series marked a new step in the partnership between two of Vietnam's leading universities and affirmed UEH's role in connecting knowledge and partnering for regional development.
Policy dialogue: Connecting academia with local practice
Kicking off the series, on the afternoon of January 8, 2026, the UEH and NEU delegation held a working session with the Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee to review past cooperation and discuss future collaborative directions. The discussion focused on agendas aimed at achieving rapid and sustainable economic growth, in alignment with science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation, as outlined in the Politburo's 'Pillar' Resolutions.
At the meeting, UEH reported on the implementation of the 2023-2028 Cooperation Agreement between UEH and Khanh Hoa Province, which has resulted in numerous practical training, research, and policy consulting activities. Building on this foundation, both sides agreed on strategic cooperation directions for the new phase, aimed at effectively harnessing Khanh Hoa's development potential in the pillars of industry, energy, tourism-services, urban development, and the digital economy.
