University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) officially launched the UEH AI Chatbot, an artificial intelligence application that automates the enrollment consulting process, supporting parents, students, and potential learners in addressing any questions related to fields of study and the learning process at UEH 24/7.

Digital transformation in education – Sustainable career guidance – Serving the community  

In recent years, the world has been witnessing an explosion of Artificial Intelligence products. Among these, AI-integrated Chatbots can be considered one of the most popular applications currently available. With natural language processing (NLP) capabilities, Chatbots can interact directly with users through designed windows like chat interfaces, enabling them to ask questions and receive prompt answers quickly.  

For higher education institutions, which have a high demand for information retrieval and consulting activities addressing inquiries related to admissions and the learning process, Chatbots are seen as an effective solution to optimize processes, relieve pressure on staff, and enhance the experiences of parents, students, and potential learners.  

Recognizing this potential, UEH has taken the lead in implementing the UEH AI Chatbot designed specifically for UEH's educational ecosystem, with the aim of providing comprehensive information and counseling on admissions and career guidance for parents, students, and potential learners. This is one of the efforts on the journey of “Sustainable Career Guidance” and digital transformation in education, delivering valuable benefits for future generations that UEH has been and is continuing to implement.

Smart virtual assistant for admissions counseling and career guidance for students and parents  

UEH AI Chatbot is developed by a team of technology experts at UEH based on a large language model (LLM), open source, combined with continuously updated internal data from UEH. This tool has the ability to process natural language, enabling smooth interactions and providing highly accurate answers in a variety of situations. The most outstanding features of UEH AI Chatbot currently include: (1) Intelligent interaction using language; (2) The ability to store and secure user information; (3) Upgrade and integration capabilities with third-party software.  

In the initial launch phase of UEH AI Chatbot, this intelligent assistant will primarily serve the activities of admissions consulting and career guidance, answering questions for parents, students, and potential learners regarding information about UEH's training programs, admission requirements, enhancing interaction support, and other assistance for users...  

Therefore, with the launch of UEH AI Chatbot, parents, students, and potential learners can be proactive in searching for and resolving any inquiries related to their field of study, important information about UEH, at any time 24/7. From there, they can easily make important decisions about career direction and future education levels.

In addition, this tool will continue to be upgraded with more features to serve the teaching, legal consultancy, and support for learners.  

Development plan of UEH AI Chatbot in the future  

+ Not only stopping at the role of consulting and career guidance, UEH Chatbot AI will be further enhanced and perfected with the aim of becoming a comprehensive support tool for learners, lecturers, and civil servants at UEH through extended features, including:  

+ Supporting learners: Providing detailed information, class schedules, and quickly answering questions for students, facilitating the learning and research process.  

+ Legal consultancy: Helping to answer information about regulations, policies, and legal guidance related to education and training, providing lecturers and legal consultants with a comprehensive and accurate view of legal issues.  

+ Implementing virtual teaching assistants: The tool sets up a virtual assistant version for each lecturer, quickly addressing students' questions.  

+ Measurement and evaluation: Establishing indicators and criteria to measure the effectiveness of applying artificial intelligence chatbot in admissions, supporting learners, legal consultancy, and virtual teaching assistants, thereby proposing suitable improvements and adjustments.

The UEH AI Chatbot is in its initial launch stages and greatly needs the participation of the UEH community to enhance the user experience by trying it out and providing feedback on the quality of the answers, as well as sending suggestions to the development team.  

Steps to follow:  

Step 1: Access the website directly at https://aichat.ueh.edu.vn/   

or click on the AI Chatbot icon in the corner of the UEH admissions consultation websites (note: if you do not access directly from the website https://aichat.ueh.edu.vn/, you can only ask a maximum of 2 questions)  

Step 2:  

Ask questions related to topics such as admissions, training programs, enrollment, UEH branding, etc.  

Step 3: To help the AI Chatbot become more accurate, after receiving an answer, please evaluate it by clicking the like button and rating the quality from 1 to 5 stars. Don't forget to send additional feedback if you have any!
