"Measuring the rate of UEH students joining HDBank as an indicator of the success of the HR and training segment"

On the morning of January 15, 2021, continuing the program “Connecting the community - Spreading knowledge", the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) and Ho Chi Minh City Development Joint Stock Commercial Bank (HDBank) held a signing ceremony of comprehensive cooperation at Hall B1.302 (Campus B) with the purpose of promoting the strengths of each party in order to connect and support each other in the process of operation and development, contributing to maintaining a good relationship of both parties, thereby creating a basis for cooperation with many other projects in the future.

Attending the ceremony, on the side of HDBank, there were Mr. Pham Quoc Thanh - Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Trinh Minh Thao - Acting Head of HR Division, Mr. Tran Van Huong - Deputy Head of Corporate Banking Division, Mr. Vo Hoang Long - Deputy Director of Retail Banking Division and other leaders of HDBank. On the UEH’s side, there were Prof.Dr. Nguyen Dong Phong - Chairman of UEH Council, Prof.Dr. Su Dinh Thanh - President, and other leaders of UEH along with the participation of a large number of students.

Speaking at the ceremony, Prof.Dr. Su Dinh Thanh - UEH President shared: The University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City has promoted the cooperation with corporations, enterprises, and agencies in training human resources as required by the society. HDBank is one of the largest financial groups in Vietnam with a good reputation in the market, so we hope this signing ceremony will mark the formation of a fully sustainable partnership and bring many practical benefits.

We highly appreciate today's cooperation with UEH - the leading provider of human resources in economics, business administration for Vietnam, especially in the southern region. In the early days of my tenure at HDBank, I asked the HR Division for annual training to measure the proportion of UEH students joining the bank as an indicator of the success of the HR and training segments. The higher index proves that HDBank's attractiveness, working environment, and quality of human resources bring higher added value to customers. The signing ceremony is a historic milestone, not only bringing the value of human resources to HDBank, but also bringing benefits to both parties in training and sharing research projects, facilities, care of future human resources for HDBank and the next generation of Vietnam, Mr. Pham Quoc Thanh - CEO of HDBank said.

In the signed agreement, UEH and HDBank agreed to cooperate in 04 major contents: Connecting training and practicing as well as supporting the development of applicable research capacity; improving human resources and attracting talents; connecting brand communication and delivering messages, images; connecting to share for social responsibilities.

On the occasion of the signing ceremony of the cooperation agreement, HDBank awarded 50 million VND to the UEH Study Encouragement Scholarship.

After the signing ceremony, HDBank 2021 Recruitment Day was organized to create career opportunities for UEH’s students. The program attracted hundreds of students of UEH from various majors to participate. In particular, students can join in direct interviews to practice interviewing skills with employers right at the event.

The signing ceremony of the cooperation and Recruitment Day of HDBank took place with great success. Hopefully, the cooperation between UEH and HDBank will practically benefit for both sides, especially for the future generation of students.
