In the morning of November 28, 2016, at 59C Nguyen Dinh Chieu Campus, the University of Economics Hochiminh City (UEH) in collaboration with the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation, Research School of Economics, Australian National University (ANU) held a workshop on Modern Methods in Computational Economics. The workshop covered modern approaches to computational economics using the latest and most interesting methods. The main focus was on dynamic, macroeconomic models. The training material was jointly developed by Thomas Sargent (a Nobel Prize winning macroeconomist) and John Stachurski (Australian National University). Prof. John Stachurski was the instructor at the workshop.
The workshop was also attended by Mr Le Thanh Nhan - Vice Dean of School of Economics, UEH, along with 30 lecturers, researchers, and graduate students from many universities in the city as well as from neighboring provinces.
