More than 120 International Exchange Scholarships to Leading Universities in Asia and Europe for UEH Students

Leading universities in Asia and Europe officially offer nearly 90 scholarships and tuition fee waivers to support students from the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) in the international student exchange program. In addition, UEH facilitates the accumulation of Study Encouragement Scholarships into this program to give students additional funding. Therefore, each student's learning experience at UEH will become diverse and meaningful with short-term and long-term international study periods, which are the door to getting acquainted, joining and becoming citizens working in a global environment.

In recent years, internationalization has become a prerequisite keyword in UEH's education strategy. In addition to the focus on materials, curriculum design, and international quality assurance in accordance with the accreditation standards, UEH has cooperated with prestigious international universities to deploy international modules and semesters for students through the international student exchange program.

Accordingly, UEH students can choose to study in France, Belgium, Germany, Italy, Sweden, China, Korea, Japan, Thailand, and Taiwan from July 2024 to August 2025, in 2 programs: a short-term exchange program in the form of implementing a project in several modules (less than 30 days) or a long-term exchange program equivalent to 01 semester of study. Among them, leading partner universities accepting UEH students include Osnabruck University of Applied Sciences (Germany), Blekinge Institute of Technology (Sweden), Le CNAME University (France), Hasselt University (Belgium), Seoul University (Korea), Fukuoka Women's University (Japan), Kaohsiung National University (Taiwan), etc.

Participating in the program, students can access and experience the advanced education with native lecturers and students as well as, expand connections to various cultures. This is an opportunity to increase their competitiveness after graduation and to broaden job opportunities with international employers. After completing and meeting the requirements of the international course and semester, students will be considered to convert their marks to equivalent credits in the UEH program/major they are studying.

To create fair opportunities for all students with different circumstances, UEH has proactively negotiated with partner universities to provide full and partial scholarships to support part of living expenses and waive tuition fees. At the same time, UEH allows excellent students wishing to exchange internationally to convert their Study Encouragement Scholarships to pay for the cost of this program. In addition, UEH also offers the opportunity to those who have not been awarded the Study Encouragement Scholarship. As the exchange program criteria are met, the application will be forwarded to the relevant Schools/Institutes for consideration. Accordingly, the additional cost for the course will range from 12,000,000 VND to 191,000,000 VND (depending on the country and program chosen), and those who qualify for the Study Encouragement Scholarship will be compensated with the amount of scholarship received.

The application for the International Exchange Scholarship 2024 is open from May 31 to June 19.
