On giving the opening speech, Prof.Dr. Nguyen Dong Phong – Chairman shared his happiness to see a large number of businesses participating in discussions about the cooperation model of schools and businesses. "Promoting the UEH model - Businesses and partners" is one of the nine key projects in the school development strategy for the period 2020-2025. In recent years, schools and businesses have cooperated in training, especially the business semester; businesses contribute comments on training programs, teaching soft skills and expertise; UEH participates in research and consultancy, brand development cooperation, recruitment for businesses.

At the workshop, leaders representing 03 of the typical businesses with many contributions to the unviersity: Ms. Cao Thi Ngoc Dung - Chairman of the Board of Directors of Phu Nhuan Jewelry Joint Stock Company (PNJ), Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City Women's Business Association; Mr. Nguyen Khac Nguyen - Director of Human Resource Division, Asia Commercial Bank (ACB); Mr. Nguyen Hieu Truong An - Senior Human Resources Director of Suntory Pepsico Beverage Vietnam Co., Ltd. made a presentation on the sustainable cooperation relationship between businesses and the school.

Ms. Cao Thi Ngoc Dung proposed solutions of signing annual strategic cooperation program and action program; have personnel to monitor and evaluate specific implementation; cooperated with the Ho Chi Minh City Businesswomen Association to organize forums. As a UEH Alumni, she is particularly interested in developing the UEH Alumni network.

According to statistics, UEH students currently account for the largest number of ACB bank (19.73%) compared to other schools, 25% of the total staff holding managerial positions at ACB bank used to learn at UEH, 86% of UEH students were rated above expectations for the past three years. UEH is a sustainable strategic partner in many aspects of ACB. ACB also gives many privileges to UEH students in recruiting and training young human resources programs. Mr. Nguyen Hieu Truong An - Senior Human Resources Director of Suntory PepsiCo Vietnam Beverage shared about the cooperation programs between UEH and the company, notably the Dynamic competition, nationwide with 14 participating schools and other activities to support the young generation of the corporation. Currently, 36% of management trainees at Suntory Pepsico are UEH students. Business leaders have discussed and contributed many opinions around proposing business-specific cooperation items to UEH and suggesting some solutions for UEH and businesses to properly implement cooperation in the future.

The school wants businesses to share more about their limitations to find solutions to promote a sustainable cooperative relationship; at the same time, give suggestions on building practical lecturer model, linking the school with businesses, promoting the academic strengths of the university and the practical side of businesses.

On closing the Workshop, Prof.Dr. Nguyen Dong Phong – Chairman of UEH Council sincerely thanks the enthusiastic, specific and meaningful contributions of businesses. Professor is very pleased with the positive business assessment of UEH students with their abilities being promoted in businesses. The university assigns the task of the leading business relationship to the Department of Marketing - Communication. In addition, Professor also agreed on the contents of cooperation to be promoted in the coming time in the fields: Practical training, research, highly applicable consulting, mutual brand development cooperation, recruiting human resources, developing the UEH Alumni network….
