Nearly 3,500 UEH new Graduates radiant on their Graduation Ceremony, ready to conquer a new journey

After a long process of studying and practicing, 13 new Doctors, 328 new Masters and 2.915 new Bachelors, from the University of Economics in Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) radiantly dressed in a new graduation gown to participate in the Graduation Ceremonies, held from January to March, 2021. There were 04 new Ph.D. students doing and defending the thesis in English during this graduation cohort, 13 postgraduates who published 06 prestigious international articles (02 ISI, 04 Scopus), and 02 international conference papers. In particular, the first generation of Master of Information Design Technology graduated this time - One of the new industries, in line with the practical needs of senior personnel in ICT (Information and Communication Technology) in the IR 4.0 era.

Attending the post-graduation ceremony, Prof. Dr. Mr. Dinh Thanh - UEH's President, would like to congratulate 328 new Masters and 13 new Doctors who graduated this March 2020. The university's curriculum is close to those of advanced schools worldwide with positive and scientific teaching methods, and a council to seriously evaluate Master and Doctoral thesis responsibly with high qualification. The university is proud to see the academic results and completed research of the new graduates. In each situation, each person has their way of striving to study well and successfully defend Masters and Doctoral thesis. He instructed new Doctors and Masters to continue cultivating professional knowledge, gradually expanding the research scope, equipping interdisciplinary nature in economic sciences, and absorbing new technologies applied in professional and English is an indispensable means for academic research and exchange. Only by lifelong learning can we meet society’s increasing demands, helping thinking develop beyond national borders with a global vision. From the knowledge equipped at the school, with the ability to self-study and self-research, the new graduates will become good professionals, experts, lecturers, brave leaders, and capable of working in the domestic, regional, and international markets.

In particular, the first generation of Master of Information Design Technology graduated this batch - One of the new industries, in line with senior personnel’s practical needs in ICT (Information and Communication Technology) in the 4.0 era. At UEH, the Master of Information Design and Technology industry is equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills on the role of information and communication technology in the enterprise value chain, identifying information forms, designing information architecture models and developing digital content strategies, using modern data science and computational technologies to evaluate the effectiveness of information models implemented or forecast the digital content strategy to be implemented.

New Master Nguyen Van Ho graduated in Information, and Communication Design Technology, shared: Over 02 years of study, the training program is equipped with an advanced information technology knowledge platform, helping me analyze data and apply these solutions in business and management, develop effective information and communication strategies at the enterprise. I have accumulated knowledge of data analysis applications at the enterprise, namely VUS where I am working as a Data Analyst. The teachers are very enthusiastic, especially the instructors are very considerate. Besides the practical knowledge, I was also instructed by my teacher to write scientific articles, now I have 01 article published in the prestigious international journal indexed in ISI/Scopus (Q2).

Dr. Ngo Tan Vu Khanh - Director of information and Communication Design training program, shared the joy of the first generation of students who graduated. Master of Information and Communication Design Technology was born to meet the needs of strategic development and implementation of communication and marketing activities using technology based on big data and artificial intelligence. The increase in the number of people enrolled in this field demonstrates the increasing demand for this discipline. As a pioneer in Master’s training in this field in Vietnam, UEH Faculty of Business Information Technology has a team of highly specialized lecturers with Ph.D. degrees, knowledge of economics, technology, and practical experience. Students can analyze many case studies on communication strategies using the technology of specific enterprises. Graduating with a Master's degree in this field, students can work in various environments, create a data-driven marketing strategy, and become leaders in information - communication and marketing with strong technology foundations in domestic and foreign enterprises.

For Bachelor, the Graduation Ceremony is a very special occasion in the life of every student, where we look back on the years of study and training for the past. At the same time is a place where the university, family and friends can congratulate and express pride to them, the new graduates of the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh. The event marks the maturity and willingness to integrate into the dynamic global economy of new graduates; the society welcomes more high-quality human resources to participate in the labor market.

New Bachelor Vu Nguyen Ky - Valedictorian Course 43, International Business - High-Quality Program (English), GPA 9.03, IELTS: 7.5, currently working at KMS Technology Company (Top 100 places Most worth working in Vietnam voted by Anphabe and Nielsen) said: “At UEH, what I learn is the determination in everything I do, teamwork skills and planning ahead of everything. My motto is to live enthusiastically, I will always work hard every day!”. That is one of the thousands of new Bachelors' confession on the day of graduation.

At the ceremony, UEH Bachelors performed the ceremony of wearing graduation caps, stepping on the stage to receive a degree, marking a significant milestone, opening a journey of willingness to dedicate and conquer the path of career development ahead.

After graduating, new Graduates can connect the UEH Alumni Community with over 200,000 members to share, exchange, study with each other and improve their personal qualifications to keep up with current job requirements. Out of 2,915 UEH new Bachelors who graduated the first batch in 2021, there are 2,216 Regular University students, 423 students in Transition Course, 201 students with Second Degrees. There is 01 student with Excellent grade, 828 students with Good grade, 1,360 students with Competent grade. Especially, there are 02 students who obtained TOEIC 990 and 01 student got IELTS 8.5. UEH Bachelor has graduated with the requirements of IC3, an IT system certification through Microsoft Dynamic ERP software, scientific research, business field visit, and minimum English proficiency of TOEIC 550/IELTS 5.0 or more depending on the major. According to 2020 statistics, 98.22% of UEH Bachelors graduate can find jobs after 1 year. This is one of the proofs of the university's efforts and UEH students themselves to be ready for international integration, contributing to the country’s economic development.
