Opening Ceremony of the UOB Investment Challenge 2025

On the morning of September 13, 2025, at Hall B1.302, the Opening Ceremony of the UOB Investment Challenge 2025 took place in a vibrant atmosphere, with the attendance of representatives from UOB Vietnam, UOB Asset Management (UOBAM) Vietnam, the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH), esteemed faculty members, and a large number of students from various universities and colleges across Ho Chi Minh City.

The UOB INVESTMENT CHALLENGE 2025 is a specialized academic competition in investment, co-organized by the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH), UOB Vietnam, and UOB Asset Management (Vietnam). The competition not only provides a solid knowledge foundation but also offers students the opportunity to experience a real-world investment environment alongside industry experts and to engage with a virtual trading platform in Vietnam.

Attending the opening ceremony were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Quang Hung - Vice President of UEH, along with leaders of UEH's member colleges and representatives from its departments and units; Mr. Paul Kim - Head of Personal Financial Services at UOB Vietnam; Ms. Thieu Thi Nhat Le – CEO of UOB Asset Management (Vietnam); and leaders from various departments of the bank and the company, as well as students from universities and colleges in the HCMC area.

In his speech at the ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Quang Hung - Vice President of UEH, shared: “UEH not only offers students a diverse environment for learning, training, and development but also emphasizes organizing extracurricular activities in partnership with businesses. Our goal is to create opportunities for learners to access and familiarize themselves with a professional working environment while still at university. With the partnership of UOB, I am confident that there will be many more meaningful competitions in the future, not only for UEH students but also expanded to students from other universities in HCMC and across the country. I hope this year's competition will be a great success, and I wish all students the best in overcoming the challenges to achieve valuable awards and recognition from UOB.”

Representing the Organizing Committee, Mr. Paul Kim – Head of Personal Financial Services at UOB Vietnam, extended a warm welcome and expressed his gratitude to the students, lecturers, and partners. He emphasized that the success of the 2024 season served as the foundation for this year's competition to return with an even broader scale, offering practical learning experiences, attractive prizes, and opportunities for students from many universities in HCMC. With a commitment to supporting the young generation, UOB Vietnam aims to help build a solid financial foundation and nurture high-quality human resources. He expressed his hope that students would participate with a spirit of determination, collaboration, and continuous exploration to grow and shape their own futures.

At the ceremony, the Organizing Committee presented the detailed rules and format of this year's competition, as well as fundamental investment knowledge—an essential foundation for students entering the UOB Investment Challenge 2025. Following the announcement of the regulations and prizes, the atmosphere in the hall became even more vibrant with a minigame on the theme of Investment and Finance. Students eagerly participated and asked many questions about the judging criteria, requirements, and competition roadmap, showing great interest and determination to conquer the challenge.
