On the morning of July 23 and 24, 2024, University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) coordinated with Ho Chi Minh City Power Corporation (EVNHCMC) to solemnly organize the Opening Ceremony of Class 1 and Class 2 of the EVNHCMC Training Course for Managers Level 3, 2024. This activity was within the framework of the cooperation agreement on training and fostering human resources between Ho Chi Minh City Power Corporation and University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City from 2022.
With the aim of supplementing knowledge and modern business management skills for managers level 3 of Ho Chi Minh City Power Corporation, the training course for 102 trainees included Directors, Deputy Directors, Chief Accountants of units at Level 3, representatives of the corporation’s capital at subsidiaries and affiliated companies, leaders of the Board/Office at the Corporation, and officials in the planning for the above positions.
Attending the Opening Ceremony, on behalf of UEH, there were Prof. Nguyen Khac Quoc Bao - Deputy Director of UEH; Assoc. Prof. Phan Thi Bich Nguyet - Chairwoman of UEH Strategy and Policy Advisory Council; Mr. Truong Minh Kiet - Head of Department of Marketing and Communication; Assoc. Prof. Pham Quang Huy - Deputy Head of Department of Undergraduate Training, lecturers of the training course; and Mr. Nguyen Hoang Son - Deputy Head of Department of Undergraduate Training.
On behalf of Ho Chi Minh City Power Corporation, there was the participation of Ms. Bui Tra Nha Truc - Deputy Head of Organization and Human Resources Department, and learners of the Training Course Managers Level 3 of the Corporation.
Overview of the Opening Ceremony
Speaking at the opening ceremony of the course, Prof. Nguyen Khac Quoc Bao - Deputy Director of UEH - asserted: “With nearly 50 years of establishment and development, University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City has affirmed itself as a leading prestigious university in Vietnam, providing society with high-quality human resources with the ability to integrate into the international working environment. Our focus is on training, updating, supplementing and improving knowledge through short-term training courses in many subjects for different professions and fields. This training course for Managers Level 3 of Ho Chi Minh City Power Corporation is one of the training programs we are very interested in. This is not only a testament to UEH's training brand but also an important highlight for the cooperation that the two sides are implementing."

To facilitate the best training quality for EVNHCMC learners, UEH has designed and built an advanced training program approaching international standards, invited teachers with knowledge and practical experience to participate in teaching, prepared modern facilities, and applied technology in organizing and managing classes. Through the training course, learners will be updated with the latest knowledge, effectively applying it to practical leadership tasks at their unit.

With the strength of training, the responsibility of a Multidisciplinary and Sustainable University, and through the program “Connecting the community - Spreading knowledge - Sustainable action”, in recent years, UEH has successfully built and implemented diverse short-term training courses to update knowledge for leaders, senior managers, and personnel of enterprises and organizations such as Vietnam Electricity Corporation, University of Medicine and Pharmacy Ho Chi Minh City, University of Medical Center Ho Chi Minh City, 175 Military Hospital, Liksin Printing and Packaging Corporation, 16th LLC (16th Army) and more. This achievement has contributed to training an important workforce for the economy, accompanying the country’s development and innovation process.
