UEH Accompanies the ICECH 2025 International Conference: Fostering Academic Exchange and Disseminating Knowledge for Sustainable Development

As a co-organizer of the International Conference on Emerging Challenges (ICECH 2025) themed “Business Dynamics in the Era of Disruptive Innovation”, the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) continues to affirm its leading academic position in the region. UEH’s active participation not only contributes to enhancing the professional quality of the conference but also reflects its mission to disseminate knowledge, promote innovative research, and foster international collaboration toward sustainable development.

The International Conference on Emerging Challenges (ICECH 2025), themed “Business Dynamics in the Era of Disruptive Innovation,” officially commenced in Hoa Binh. With its 13-year history, ICECH has become one of the leading academic forums, bringing together experts, researchers, and international scholars to share insights and solutions for emerging economies, particularly focusing on the Asia–Pacific region.

ICECH 2025 is hosted by the School of Economics – Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST), with the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) serving as a key co-organizer. UEH’s active coordination has significantly contributed to the success and international quality of the conference. Other co-organizing institutions include: VNU International School, National Economics University, Foreign Trade University, University of Economics – Hue University, University of Economics – The University of Danang, VNU University of Economics and Business, along with international partners such as the University of Hertfordshire (UK), AVSE Global (France), PPM School of Management (Indonesia), EM Normandie (France), and the University of Macerata (Italy).

In the opening ceremony, on behalf of the co-organizing institutions, Dr. Dinh Cong Khai – Vice President of UEH – expressed sincere appreciation to all partners and reaffirmed UEH’s vision and standing within the global academic community. Dr. Khai emphasized: “As one of the co-organizers of the International Conference on Emerging Challenges (ICECH 2025), UEH not only demonstrates its unwavering commitment to educational excellence and research innovation but also concretizes its mission to disseminate knowledge for sustainable national and regional development. ICECH 2025 attracted the participation of over 150 delegates (both onsite and online), including researchers from eight countries. Nearly 120 research papers were selected for presentation, creating an open and dynamic academic platform for scholars to exchange ideas and connect academia with industry.

UEH played an active role in paper review, participation in the Scientific Committee, and organization of thematic sessions on digital economy, innovation, and sustainable management—fields in which UEH has been strongly developing. The participation of UEH lecturers and researchers with diverse topics contributed to enriching academic discussions and the overall success of the conference.

Furthermore, Dr. Hoang Viet Huy (School of Accounting, UEH College of Business) was honored with the Best Paper Award for his research titled “From Risk to Reach: Gambling Culture and Strategic Expansions.” This award serves as a meaningful recognition of UEH scholars’ research efforts and academic contributions to the international scientific community.
