With a strong commitment to gender equality and the Sustainable Development Goal SDG5, the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) has introduced an online application system that accommodates an unlimited number of female students. This system allows for monitoring female participation rates across all stages—from application and admission to graduation—ensuring that women have comprehensive opportunities for development and success. This policy was initiated when UEH implemented the digital transformation strategy in 2009, in which UEH focuses on online platforms supporting learners (most especially female learners) to research and find information regarding college application, enrollment and participation in UEH. The policy is updated every recruitment cycle of each year.
As a pioneering smart university in digital transformation, UEH offers a seamless online admission portal (xettuyen.ueh.edu.vn) that simplifies the application process for candidates across regions. This system enables applicants to complete all steps, from form submission to admission notification, enhancing accessibility and user experience.
The online admission platform includes gender as a field in the application form, allowing UEH to track and monitor female student participation from the start of their academic journey, advancing gender equality and eliminating limits on female enrollment.

UEH Graduation Day
Before graduation, UEH organizes the UEH Sharing – Career Fair, where female students connect with employers and receive career counseling tailored to their strengths and interests. These initiatives aim to increase graduation rates, bolster female confidence in the job market, and gradually bridge the gender gap in academic and career success.
Through these comprehensive efforts, UEH strengthens its role as a champion of gender equality in higher education, empowering female students to achieve their full potential.
