Seminar at UEH on "Public University Governance According to Business Models in Vietnam"

The Seminar welcomed Assoc. Prof. Luu Bich Ngoc, Ph.D - Chief of National Council for Education and Human Resource Development, Ministry of Education and Training, Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Thanh Ha - Member of the University Council of National Economics University, Ph.D. Trinh Mai Van - Deputy Head of Scientific Research Department of National Economics University, Ph.D. Bui Trung Hai - Deputy Head of Department of Political Affairs and Student Management - Director of Career Center. Additionally, from UEH, attendees included Prof. Nguyen Dong Phong, Ph.D - UEH President, Assoc. Prof. Phan Thi Bich Nguyet, Ph.D - Chairman of the Advisory Council of UEH, together with leaders and representatives of the University’s Faculties, Professors, Associate Professors, and Doctors.

The forum has collected different perspectives and opinions on university governance model under complete autonomy so as to reorient the university’s operating nature in a competitively globalized educational environment under strict state regulations and quality assurances.

This is also key to further innovation in higher education government, aiming to resolve a variety of problems facing higher education presently and in the future. The goal is to maxims human resources and facilities, and henceforth, attract further societal manpower and more effectively use state funding on technology transformation efforts and the likes. Consequently, sustainable financial practices can and will also be enhanced, which would bring about stellar condition for quality improvement in training, scientific research and global assertion for Vietnam’s higher education.
