Seminar "SMARTCITY+ Initiative" with the theme of Digital Transformation, taking people as the center

Within the framework of the Southeast Innovation Startup Day 2020 (TECHFEST Southeast Region), the "SMARTCITY+ Initiative" event was held at the Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics (UEH), including technology exhibitions and in-depth exchange forums on technology applications to solve urban problems, as well as smart urban approaches towards people-centered.

Opening remarks, Ms. Chu Van Hai - Deputy Director of The Department of Science and Technology of Ho Chi Minh City, shared about the role of smart cities. She particularly emphasized the prerequisite role of people, about the high-quality human resources in the successful deployment of smart cities.

National and international speakers and delegates discussed the topics: Application of technology in Smart Cities, Virtual Reality Technology (AR) in urban planning, and successful learned lessons on improvements in traffic safety, etc.

Series of events with a variety of activities: teaching, projects, research, community activities, exchange forums, workshops, exhibitions, etc, contributing to the construction of Ho Chi Minh City: "Smart city worth living" from effectively solving urban problems in existing resources.
