Signing Ceremony of Cooperation Agreement between Sun Group and the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City

On the morning of December 9, 2025, the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) and Sun Group officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), marking a significant milestone in the strategic partnership between the two parties. The agreement paves the way for extensive cooperation, resource sharing, and co-creating sustainable values while developing high-quality human resources.

Attending the signing ceremony from UEH were: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Quang Hung – UEH Interim President; Prof. Dr. Nguyen Dong Phong – Chairman of the UEH Development Strategy Council; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Trinh Tu Anh – Director of the Institute of Smart City and Management, UEH College of Technology and Design; Le Dong Du, M.A. – Deputy Head of the University Office; and Phan Ngoc Anh, M.A. – Deputy Head of the Department of Communications and Partnerships.

From Sun Group, attendees included: Mr. Tran Khanh – Member of the Sun Group Founding Council; Ms. Nguyen Vu Quynh Anh – Deputy General Director of Sun Group; Ms. Dao Khanh Chi – Head of the Group's Human Resources Department; Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong Nhung – Deputy General Director of the Entertainment & Resort Division; and Ms. Nguyen Thuy – Director of Human Resource Development for the Entertainment & Resort Division.

Kicking off the ceremony, Ms. Nguyen Vu Quynh Anh, Deputy General Director of Sun Group, spoke about the strategic cooperation between UEH and Sun Group, expressing her deep appreciation for the partnership with a major university renowned for its academic depth, training experience, and pioneering spirit in innovation like UEH. She stated that every step of a company's growth and every project built originates from people with knowledge, skills, and, above all, aspiration. In the coming years, Sun Group's 5- to 10-year vision will extend beyond infrastructure and services to focus on human development—nurturing dynamic, high-integrity, and responsible Vietnamese citizens. She emphasized Sun Group's commitment to joining hands with educators and training managers, particularly UEH, to cultivate a new generation that is professionally skilled, resilient, and driven by a relentless desire to excel.

Representing UEH, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Quang Hung – UEH Interim President, shared: "For nearly 50 years, UEH has continuously innovated and pioneered to affirm its position as one of Vietnam's leading multidisciplinary and sustainable universities, achieving impressive international milestones. We believe that UEH's development is made possible through the partnership of strategic allies, and Sun Group, with its international vision and diverse ecosystem of tourism, resorts, and real estate, is an ideal partner. Through this cooperation agreement, we hope to provide UEH students with opportunities to access a professional work environment and participate in real-world projects to develop their comprehensive capabilities. We also aim to expand collaboration in research, consulting, technology transfer, architectural design, smart urban development, brand communication, and human resource development to create tangible and sustainable value for both parties and society."

To build and foster a sustainable cooperative relationship, UEH and Sun Group have agreed to sign an MOU with the following key areas of focus:

  • Training cooperation: Sun Group will assign experts to participate in curriculum development and accreditation, and co-train practical knowledge and soft skills for lecturer and students. The Group will also facilitate company tours, internships, and practical semesters for students. A special focus will be placed on partnering with UEH Nexus Nha Trang to promote an international learning environment, connect with global experts, and sustainable practices. In return, UEH will organize specialized short-term training courses for the Group's staff and share periodic scientific research.
  • Research, consulting, and technology transfer cooperation: The two parties will collaborate on research, projects, consulting on governance solutions, technology transfer, and co-hosting conferences and seminars. They will also implement joint research and projects related to architectural design, urban planning, and landscape design, as well as smart cities.
  • Human resource attraction cooperation: Sun Group will partner with UEH in career orientation events, Career Fairs, job fairs, and career guidance programs. The Group will give priority consideration to outstanding graduates and interns from UEH. UEH will coordinate in organizing recruitment information seminars and communications, introducing the Group, sharing skills, practical experience, and career opportunities for students.
  • Sponsorship and partnership with "Giving to UEH": Sun Group will sponsor scholarships, development programs, and student events and competitions. The Group will also collaborate with UEH to organize short-term community training courses, particularly in localities where the Group has projects.
  • Brand communication cooperation: Both parties will promote each other's training programs, products, and services, participating in career orientation activities, seminars, and international events; publishing cooperation information in the press, on websites; and collaborating on community service activities.
