The International Conference ELG 2025 "Resilience, Sustainability and Digital Transformation in a Changing World: Perspectives from Southeast Asia"

UEH College of Economics, Law and Government (UEH-CELG) is pleased to invite researchers to submit papers and participate in the International Conference on Economics, Law and Government 2025 (ELG2025), themed: “Resilience, Sustainability & Digital Transformation in a changing world: Perspectives from Southeast Asia”

This annual international conference aims to serve as a vibrant interdisciplinary academic platform, bringing together scholars, policymakers, and experts from Southeast Asia and beyond to share research findings, practical insights, and innovative solutions. The goal is to enhance adaptive capacity, ensure sustainable development, and optimize the benefits of digital transformation in the region.

+ Venue: UEH Campus B, 279 Nguyen Tri Phuong, Dien Hong Ward, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

ELG2025 provides a space for open and critical dialogue on pressing issues in the following areas:

+ Public Governance, Policy and Resilience

+ Law and Resilience Governance

+ Quantitative Tools for Sustainability, Resilience, and Digital Transformation

+ Arts, Humanities and Languages

The conference proudly features three distinguished keynote speakers:

🔹 Professor Pamela Jagger
Professor at the University of North Carolina, USA, and a leading expert in environmental policy and sustainable development. She directs the FUEL Lab and EPPSA, focusing on environmental livelihoods, governance, and energy poverty. She has worked with the World Bank, IFPRI, CIFOR, and other global institutions.

🔹 Professor Carlos Chávez
Professor of Economics at the University of Talca, Chile, and co-editor of Environment and Development Economics. His research covers environmental policy, air pollution, and natural resource management. His work has been published in top journals in environmental and resource economics.

🔹 Professor Jeannie Marie Paterson
Professor of Law at the University of Melbourne and Director of the Centre for AI and Digital Ethics. Her work explores consumer protection, privacy, and legal risks in the age of AI. She regularly advises the Australian Government, ASEAN, and key regulatory bodies on legal reform and digital ethics.

In addition to the keynote sessions, ELG2025 will host nearly 30 parallel sessions featuring more than 150 research papers from global scholars. These sessions address current and globally relevant topics, offering researchers valuable opportunities to deepen their expertise, share academic contributions, and build networks with peers from diverse disciplines.

As an important academic event in the region, ELG2025 offers a dynamic environment for knowledge exchange and practical solution-finding, especially for developing countries navigating today’s complex global challenges.
