Thematic Seminar on "Archive and State Security in Public Higher Education Institutions"

On May 30, 2024, at Hall A103, University of Economics of Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) successfully organized a seminar on "Archive and State Security in Public Higher Education Institutions”.

Pursuant to the Law on Legal Popularization and Education 2012, Decision No. 435/QD-BGDDT dated January 30, 2024 of the Deputy Minister of Education and Training on Promulgating the Plan for Dissemination and Education of Laws in the Education Sector in 2024, Plan No. 541/KH-DHKT-TTPC dated February 27, 2024 of the Director of University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City on the Dissemination of laws in 2024, in order to consolidate and improve the quality of implementing legal documents at the school, the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) organized a seminar on "Archive and State Security in Public Higher Education Institutions".

Overview of the seminar

Attending the seminar was Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Tu - Head of Administration Office of the Ministry of Education and Training. On behalf of UEH, there were Prof.Dr. Su Dinh Thanh - University Director, Prof.Dr. Nguyen Khac Quoc Bao - University Deputy Director, Board of Directors of Member Colleges; Board of Directors of Vinh Long Campus; Leaders of the International School of Business, Party - Union Office, UEH Office, Department of Human Resource Management, Boards, Divisions, Schools, Centers, Offices of Member Colleges and experts in charge of drafting documents and archives of the units.

At the seminar, the delegates listened to the presentation by Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Tu - Head of Administration Office of the Ministry of Education and Training on the topic "Archive and State Security in Public Higher Education Institutions".

The seminar took place excitingly with the delegates exchanging on implementing the law on protecting state secrets: legal documents, guiding documents of the Government and the Ministry of Education and Training, tasks of protecting state secrets, authority in protecting state secrets and specific regulations. Therefore, the seminar improved the participants’ knowledge and skills in implementing legal requirements for university autonomy. UEH would continue to thoroughly disseminate the law on protecting state secrets as well as regularly remind and urge units to avoid shortcomings and violations.
