UEH awarded the Decision to appoint the Head, Vice Head of the school unit for the term 2020-2025

The program was attended by Prof.Dr. Nguyen Dong Phong - Chairman of UEH Council; Prof.Dr. Su Dinh Thanh - President; Prof.Dr. Nguyen Trong Hoai - Vice President; Dr. Bui Quang Hung - Vice President; Assoc.Prof. Dr. Phan Thi Bich Nguyet - Chairman of Consulting Council; Dr. Bui Quang Viet - Chairman of UEH Labor Union; Head and Vice Head of the Unit of the School term 2016 - 2021 and the term 2020 - 2025 and officials of units under / directly under UEH.

In the past 44 years, UEH has been constantly developing, becoming one of the key national universities, the first university in the country to be approved by the Prime Minister and successfully implemented pilot scheme to renovate operating mechanism. In recent years, the University has implemented many breakthrough activities and achieved outstanding achievements such as: JABES is the first English economic journal in Vietnam published by Emerald, Vietnam's top 15 most prestigious international publication universities, world’s top 1000 best business schools, world’s top 25 leading universities in the field of standard knowledge transfer to contribute to lifelong career development. Achieving such results is thanks to the collective efforts of the school's leadership team, leaders of the units, officials and employees of UEH.

At the ceremony, to announce and award the Decision to appoint leaders of the school's units for the term 2020 - 2025, the school has respectfully acknowledged and expressed gratitude to the contributions of the teachers, also leaders of the school term 2016- 2021, who stops continuing the mission in the new term.

In order to meet the development orientation of UEH in the new period, the UEH Council has recently approved the policy of completing the organization. Accordingly, at the ceremony, the school announced the Decisions to establish and rename 06 units of the school, including: Department of Care and Support for Students, Dormitory Management Board, Department of Human Resource Management, Department of Training, Department of Regular Training, Department of Legal and Inspection.

Also at the ceremony, the university awarded the Decisions to appoint, re-appoint, extend the time to hold the position of Head, Vice Head of the unit under the school term 2020 – 2025 as below:

Prof.Dr. Nguyen Dong Phong gave the appointment decision to Prof.Dr. Su Dinh Thanh - President cum in charge of School of Public Finance; Prof.Dr. Nguyen Trong Hoai - Vice President and Editor-in-Chief of Journal of Asian Business and Economic Studies (JABES) cum Chairman of Economic Book Company, Ltd; Assoc.Prof.Dr. Phan Thi Bich Nguyet - Chairman of Consulting Council and Head of UEH Institute of Innovation; Dr. Bui Quang Hung - Vice President cum President of Printing Company, Ltd.

Prof.Dr. Su Dinh Thanh - UEH Principal, on behalf of the school leaders, thanked the leaders of the previous term and congratulated the leaders for the term 2020 - 2025. Strengthening senior personnel is very important to help fulfill the mission, and vision of the school. This is an honor and a challenge for leaders of the units. He hopes that all leaders and officials of the school will unite, join forces, and contribute to the overall development of the school, bringing UEH into Asia's Top QS 500.

At this morning's ceremony, UEH also mobilized and raised VND 76,700,000, bringing the total amount raised to VND 195,770,000 to help the people in Central Vietnam who are directly affected by storms and floods. Previously, the program for the Central Region launched by the School Trade Union at the 90th Anniversary Meeting of the Vietnam Women's Union on October 20, 2020 received a donation of VND 12,300,000.

The labor union has donated to the Vietnam Fatherland Front: VND 50 million and a support for the damaged lecturers in Quang Binh and Quang Tri provinces: 60 million VND. The university will continue to advocate and call on all UEH officials to support people in Central Vietnam who are in trouble due to natural disasters in the coming time.
