The implementation of this solution system marks an important step in UEH’s strategy to enhance the quality of research and teaching, while meeting the growing demand for staying updated on academic trends, expanding international collaborations, and increasing publication opportunities in prestigious journals. The advanced features of Clarivate’s solution ecosystem will provide strong support to lecturers, researchers, managers, postgraduate learners, and students across the university.
Web of Science (WoS): High-quality literature search – Journal selection – Citation tracking
Web of Science is one of the world’s most reputable citation and indexing databases, giving researchers access to over 22.000 scientific journals, 304.000 conference proceedings, and 146.000 books that are continuously reviewed and updated annually.
The system integrates the AI Research Assistant tool, which optimizes search queries, identifies research gaps and emerging hot topics, and helps build research hypotheses.
InCites: Performance Analysis - Strategy Planning - Research Impact Assessment
InCites offers in-depth analytics based on Web of Science data, enabling measurement and comparison of international publication performance across units; identification of prominent research areas and emerging trends; and assessment of international collaboration capacity and research impact.
Pivot-RP: Maximizing International Funding Opportunities
Pivot-RP is a global funding-opportunity platform that is continuously updated and enhanced by AI to match researcher profiles with relevant funding sources.
Researchers can:
+ Search for international projects and funding opportunities;
+ Identify academic partners domestically and internationally;
+ Track awarded grants;
+ Save significant time on information searches.
+ On-campus access at UEH: from November 2025
+ Off-campus access: expected from December 2025

On November 21, 2025, UEH collaborated with Clarivate to organize a training workshop introducing and guiding the use of the Web of Science and Journal Citation Reports databases, with the topic: “Publishing for Research Impact with NEW resources for the UEH research community!”. The workshop was delivered by Ms. Dju-Lyn Chng, Strategic Customer Success Consultant – APAC, attracted the participation of about 150 lecturers and researchers.
The session introduced key content to help users fully exploit the Web of Science database, including: searching for highly influential studies; identifying research gaps and emerging topics via citation network exploration; using analytical tools to generate new ideas; searching for potential collaborators; and understanding how to use the Research Assistant tool to support scientific research.
The second part of the training session focused on the Journal Citation Reports (JCR) database with important contents such as: Presenting journal evaluation indicators besides the Impact Factor to help users identify and avoid predatory journals; practical instructions on using the Journal Impact Factor and Journal Citation Indicator; and instructions on how to compare and select appropriate journals to improve the ability to publish internationally.
The workshop contributed greatly to strengthening the capacity of the UEH academic community in searching, evaluating, and using scientific data, thereby improving research quality and international publication strategies.
