UEH Economic Youth 2021: The return with a bold mark

After a year of delay due to the COVID-19 epidemic, UEH Economic Youth - UEH's traditional festival is back, with a whole new look and color. Marking the 90th anniversary of the establishment of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and 45 years of establishment of the University, the festival is not only enormous in size and attracts more than 3,000 students, but also carries many significant meanings of UEH identity.

Carefully prepare from the very first days.

From the middle of February, pictures and suggestions about the festival related to the return of “Economic Youth” have been widely covered on school fan pages. This shows the eagerness and expectation of generations of UEH students for a festival with a bold "Economic" mark.

The closer the date the festival took place, the more throbbing the atmosphere became. Not only a key activity of the Youth month, but Economic Youth is also an activity marking two major milestones, which is well received by the students.

Especially, this year's festival is held at Nguyen Van Linh Campus, one of the new UEH campuses with modern equipment, accommodating more than 3,000 students. Large space and good infrastructure are not small catalysts for a successful 2021 Economic Youth.

Exploding moments from the festival

From the beginning of the afternoon on March 27, 2021, thousands of students were present at Nguyen Van Linh Campus. The bright sun of March only made the youth of UEH students even more enthusiastic; all became unanimous in creating a burning Economic Youth of 2021.

The highlight of Economic Youth this year is the focus on large, collective and highly interactive activities. With the theme of SpaceZ, bringing the message towards Gen Z - today's young generations who affirm their own character in the space and the land they set foot in - SpaceZ and the mascot of the year is the image of astronauts. These people are always searching for and conquering new lands.

At exactly 15 p.m., after the opening ceremony, the booths officially started to operate, the atmosphere was fascinating. The festival has two large stations that are Space P-ower Station and F-ood Station, including team building activities, big games, folk games in parallel with food stalls attracting many students. In EDM music, the spirit of Economic Youth is burning because all have merged into a large whole called "UEH".

The night was spectacular and booming with the participation of more than 3,000 students. During the festival, 30 members of the Youth Union - Student Association, were commended for their excellent achievements in learning as well as in movements. These are the most typical and worthy representatives of the Economic Youth - always live and dedicate themselves.

After moments of pride, the whole stage burned when the singer Hoa Minzy appeared. Thousands of students stood up to harmonize with the song; Hoa Minzy shared: "The students of University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City always make me thrilled. Every time I come back here, I always have a very special feeling”.

Pushing to the climax of the music and light party, Noo Phuoc Thinh made thousands of students burst with joy when presenting a series of hit songs, all stirring up the sky in Binh Chanh.

Not stopping there, the festival was also "heated" thanks to exciting and professionally arranged performances from the Young Melody Club, the Striking Arts Team, UEHG, Folklore, Martial Arts, Social Affairs... All of them burned out, dedicating a memorable night to UEH-ers.

The event brought students a party of light harmony and authentic and meaningful values. Earth Hour event took place right on the stage, with the message of "Speak up for nature", urging everyone to speak up together and act right away for our mother nature.

The fire of youth will still be lit...

Although the Economic Youth of 2021 has ended, it will forever be the pride of UEH. The mission of the event is to create a bond between generations of UEH together with contemporary messages, which are closely connected with students. And many years later, UEH students, remembering every moment of Economic Youth 2021, will smile happily because they were there, living with all their enthusiasm and youth.
