On May 7, 2026, the Startup Incubator of the UEH Institute of Innovation successfully organized a meeting and working session with an international partner delegation from Singapore. The delegation included educational technology startup projects from the venture capital fund Quest Ventures and representatives pursuing Master's programs at Nanyang Technological University (NTU). The event aimed to strengthen the cooperative relationship between the two countries' startup ecosystems, while directly contributing to connecting opportunities for projects currently being incubated at UEH.

In the process of supporting the incubation of projects within the innovation and startup ecosystem, UEH consistently focuses on creating an environment that connects resources, experts, and international cooperation opportunities for potential projects.
At the working session, the parties exchanged views on the possibility of cooperative solution development between the incubator's projects and Singaporean startups in the process of developing and testing technology solutions in Vietnam. Quest Ventures is currently a strategic partner of the Global Innovation Alliance (GIA), a flagship initiative implemented by the Singaporean Government to promote cross-border innovation collaboration. Through this network, in cases where Vietnamese projects collaborate with Singaporean projects and meet the program's evaluation criteria, Enterprise Singapore and Quest Ventures can co-fund up to 50% of the total project implementation costs (up to 50,000 SGD).
This is an extremely practical source of financial support and connection for startup projects. This support not only helps mitigate risks in the process of testing and deploying new technologies but also creates momentum for UEH projects to boldly develop products, expand international cooperation, and gradually commercialize solutions in the actual market.

The program's highlight was the presentation by six Singaporean educational technology projects, including: Noodle Factory, Remarkably, Stick 'Em, Jalan Journey, Centre For Cybersecurity Institute (CFCI), and Valsea. The projects brought many innovative solutions, ranging from platforms enhancing learning experiences, STEM education robots, to in-depth cybersecurity training.

Immediately following the project presentations, M.A. Doan Duc Minh offered many practical insights in his role as an angel investor with many years of experience in Vietnam. He shared about the culture, user behavior, and specific characteristics of the domestic education sector, while offering important feedback for international projects seeking to approach the Vietnamese market. Additionally, he suggested suitable partner connections to support the projects in scaling up in Vietnam most effectively. These insights helped the Singaporean projects better understand the opportunities, challenges, and how to identify appropriate market entry strategies in Vietnam in the future.

The meeting and working session with Quest Ventures and NTU was not merely a networking activity aimed at developing the startup ecosystem, but also carried profound strategic significance for UEH's development direction. Through connecting with international investment funds and academic networks such as NTU, UEH is gradually affirming its role in creating an innovation ecosystem through practical and sustainable connections with global partners.
This is also one of the activities contributing to UEH's development strategy of becoming a Multidisciplinary and Sustainable University, and the nucleus of the urban-regional innovation ecosystem. Furthermore, this activity also provides additional practical perspectives for UEH in the process of promoting the digital transformation strategy in governance and education, aiming towards the goal of building a Smart University model in the future.
