UEH launches Students Science research 2021 - "The Maze"

UEH Students Science Research Launching Ceremony is a program launched annually in order to update the latest scientific research information to students; creating an environment for students to exchange experiences in implementing research projects. At the same time, the program launched scientific research awards at the University and City levels, directing students to closer to scientific research activities; thereby creating motivation and promoting the movement of learning - scientific research among students of the university, nurturing research passion.

Attending the launching ceremony, on the side of the school, the program was very honoured to welcome Prof.Dr. Nguyen Trong Hoai - Vice Principal of the school; Dr. Bui Quang Viet - Union President; Dr. Nguyen Phong Nguyen - Deputy Head of Department in charge of Scientific Management - International Cooperation; Dr. Pham Duong Phuong Thao - Deputy Head of Scientific Management Department - International Cooperation; MSc. Bui Mong Ngoc - Deputy Head of Training Department; Dr. Tran Thi Tuan Anh - Vice Dean of Faculty of Mathematics - Statistics; Dr. Vo Tat Thang - Deputy Head of Economics Department - Principal of HAPRI Institute; MSc. Nguyen Dinh Hoang Uyen - Deputy Secretary of the Youth Union, Head of Study - Scientific Research - International Relations Department, Head of the Organizing Committee.

On the business side, there was Mr. Le Minh Tuan - Head of Development Department of ICAEW Business Division. Especially the presence of nearly 1000 UEH students with passion and desire to explore scientific research, students who are interested in performing scientific research topics as well as scientific research awards.

Opening the ceremony, Prof.Dr. Nguyen Trong Hoai - Vice Principal of University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City has sent trust, hope as well as sincere advice to all students of the university - especially new students; thereby inspiring and nurturing dreams of scientific research, helping students confidently start implementing research topics.

Continuing the program, Dr. Pham Duong Phuong Thao - Deputy Head of Scientific Management Department - International Cooperation summarized the way of scientific research in the past 2020. A year with many praisiworthy achievements when there were 241 subjects participating in the award "Excellent subject topics UEH500" with 94 subjects honoured to win the award; 91 outstanding projects won the "UEH Young Researcher" award, which includes 17 A prizes, 41 B prizes and 33 C prizes. Along with many potential projects promising to gain more Eureka awards and higher awards the next time. Thus, the scientific research results of students are constantly increasing, reflected in both the quantity and quality of the exam subjects, thereby also showing the investment and enthusiasm of UEH students for research.

With the desire to create stronger motivation for students to break through, dare to step out of their comfort zones to do bigger things, the seminar "Scientific Research - Inspire and Motivate" took place with the special participation of Dr. Tran Thi Tuan Anh - Vice Dean of Faculty of Mathematics - Statistics; Dr. Do Thi Hai Ninh - Director of Training - International Cooperation Institute of Innovation, Lecturer of the Faculty of International Business - Marketing and Mr. Nguyen Quang Binh - Officer, Journal of Asian Economic and Business Studies at the same time being a student of Class 35, University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City.

Through the seminar, the students had a chance to listen to sincere sharing, valuable experiences and new and clearer perspectives on scientific research at UEH, thereby finding inspiration and sparking ideas to start implementing research topics.
