UEH launching EMBA Alumni Liaison Committee & “Human Resource Management in the New Era” Talkshow

In order to facilitate the connection between University and alumni, among students and students in particular, to expand the UEH Alumni network in general, on the afternoon of July 16th, 2022, at Hall A.103, University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City held the Launching Ceremony of the EMBA Alumni Liaison Committee in a warm, joyful and exhilarating atmosphere.

Attending the program, there was the attendance of Prof. Dr. Nguyen Dong Phong - Chairman of the University Council - President of UEH Alumni, Prof. Dr. Su Dinh Thanh - President, Dr. Tran The Hoang - Standing Vice President of UEH Alumni, leaders of units and teachers of the Master of Management Program (EMBA); along with a large number of alumni and students of 10 EMBA classes as leaders, boards of directors of businesses, banks, state management agencies, and so on, working in Ho Chi Minh City and Southern Provinces.

Overview of the ceremony

Prof. Dr. Nguyen Dong Phong - Chairman of the University Council - President of UEH Alumni stated: “The establishment and launch of the EMBA Alumni Liaison Committee is a vital job and is of great interest to the university. The Liaison Committee is responsible for connecting and gathering alumni to exchange, share experiences, and connect business. It can also contribute to the development of UEH through sharing sessions and extracurricular reports for students of the university”.

UEH announced the decision at the ceremony and launched the EMBA Program Alumni Liaison Committee (EMBA UEH Alumni) and the 22-member EMBA UEH Alumni Interim Representative Board led by Mr. Vuong Bao Long.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Vuong Bao Long - Interim Executive Director of EMBA UEH Alumni - shared: “The birth of the EMBA Alumni Liaison Committee (EMBA UEH Alumni) is a great joy for EMBA members of all courses in particular and the UEH Alumni community in general. This will be a place to unite collective wisdom and strength with the EMBA identity in sharing real experiences to help each other solve management problems as well as organizational problems; at the same time, spreading the spirit of learning for life. EMBA Alumni Interim Board of Directors is honored to receive the trust of UEH Leaders to carry out the mission of CONNECTING stakeholders to create values; develop leadership skills and abilities; promote the spirit of starting up and entrepreneurship, and serve the community”.

Launching of the EMBA Program Alumni Liaison Committee (EMBA UEH Alumni) and EMBA UEH Alumni Interim Representative Board

As a part of the program of activities, on the occasion of the Launching Ceremony, the alumni and students gathered together and shared experiences, thereby, applying to reality and bringing effective contributions to their functions and businesses, through a roundtable Talkshow discussing the topic of “Human Resource Management in the New Era” of experts in the field of Human Resource Management, with the participation of experts:

  • Dr. Nguyen Huu Lam, Lecturer at School of Management, UEH - Panelist
  • Mr. Truong Bac Son, CEO of SONKA - Panelist

The ceremony closed and opens a new beginning. We do hope that the EMBA Alumni Liaison Committee will fulfill its mission with the set mission and purpose, develop the EMBA network more and more widely, promote the good tradition of UEH in accordance with the EMBA identity and bring actual values to the community.
