UEH mission visited and worked with partner universities in the United Kingdom

The delegation included Prof.Dr. Nguyen Dong Phong - President, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Ho Viet Tien - Director of School of UEH Graduate, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Vo Xuan Vinh - Director of Institute of Business Research, and Dr. Nguyen Huu Huan - Lecturer of School of Banking.

At the University of Leicester, the UEH mission worked with Prof. Jim Devlin - Dean of Business School,  Prof. Dan Ladley - Vice Dean of Business School, and some lecturers of the faculty. The two sides signed a detailed agreement on joint training of doctoral degrees in the direction of applied research in the Social Science in Management. In addition, the two universities also cooperated to open a Master's degree training program in Innovation management in 2020; organizing annual international conferences (first in 2020), and discussing solutions to improve the quality of articles for the Journal of Asian Business and Economic Studies (JABES), as well as to participate in joint research as co-author in the articles will be published.

Welcoming and working with the UEH delegation, on the side of the University of Lincoln was Prof. Toby Wilkinson - Deputy Vice-Chancellor of External Relations, Dr. Craig Marsh - Pro-Vice-Chancellor and Director of Lincoln International Business School, and some of the Dr. lecturers from the school. During this trip, UEH and Lincoln University signed an agreement to coordinate doctoral training in the direction of academic research related to all disciplines of economics, business and management, starting implemented since 2020. Both sides also discussed academic research directions for doctoral theses, the method of co-guiding the thesis, symposium for Ph.D. students, international seminars organization at UEH in 2020, as well as joint publications under the Scopus or ISI journals.

With the above agreements, postgraduates participating in the program will be reduced tuition fees to a minimum, have access to rich databases, and have co-instructors as lecturers of partner schools. Above all, upon completion of the program, these students will receive a doctorate from prestigious UK Universities.

During the trip, the delegation also met and discussed with some Vietnamese postgraduate and graduate students studying in the UK, intending to expand UEH's academic research network.
