UEH organized the "Meeting the Editors" workshop

With the aim of retrofitting scientific writing skills, writing and posting articles to prestigious international journals, and solving problems that researchers often encounter during the publication process on Specialized magazine, the seminar "Meeting the Editors" held by University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City on April 22-23, 2019 attracted more than 100 lecturers, graduate students, and scientists from many universities, colleges, and research institutes in Ho Chi Minh City. 

Overview at the Workshop

The seminar took place at Hall A.204, Campus 59C Nguyen Dinh Chieu, University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH). The seminar was chaired by UEH and Prof.Dr. Nguyen Trong Hoai - Vice-President; The guest speakers had Prof. Ian Phau (Curtin University, Australia and the Editor-in-chief of Asia Pacific Journal of Marketing & Logistics of ISI with IF = 1,204) - one of the leading professors in Marketing, Prof. Julian Ming Sung Cheng (National Central University and member of the editorial board of Journal of Business & Industrial Marketing of ISI with IF = 1,833), Prof. Su Dinh Thanh - Editor-in-chief of the first economic magazine of Vietnam published by Emerald - Journal of Asian Business and Economic Studies (JABES) of UEH.

Giving the opening speech at the Conference, Prof.Dr. Nguyen Trong Hoai - Vice-President expressed his deep gratitude to the speakers for sharing their experiences in publishing scientific works in prestigious magazines around the world.

 

Sharing of Prof. Ian Phau

Prof. Ian Phau shared with scientists, fellows, and teachers interested in the seminar on experience in publishing research in SSCI journals. With a lot of experience in editorial roles, chief-editor in high ranking magazines around the world, Prof. Ian Phau also instructed scientists on how to complete the research when receiving comments, reviews, and suggestions from the editorial staff to revise and refine the research. In addition, he also shared his experience in how to write doctoral theses for graduate students.

Prof. Julian Ming Sung Cheng presented

Also in the workshop, Prof. Julian Ming Sung Cheng shared how to cite the results of the studies, the lifecycle of the theories with a reference from the specific study from the TAM model; Dr. Le Nhat Hanh shared a study about marketing and integrated approaches; Prof.Dr. - Su Dinh Thanh - Editor-in-chief of JABES magazine emphasized the requirements and skills necessary to write a scientific paper and guide the steps to be published JABES as well as worldwide prestigious journals.

After 2 days of presentation and discussion, the conference ended successfully, opening up new opportunities to publish articles in international magazines.
