UEH SHARING - CAREER FAIR 2023: Connecting the business community, Spreading multidisciplinary knowledge, Providing 5,000 jobs, Moving towards UEH sustainable development
During the past 24 years, the Internship and Employment Day Ho Chi Minh - UEH Career Fair, organized by University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH), has brought millions of job opportunities to students at HCMC area. UEH, this year, with a completely new look, replicating the model with the goal of “Action for a More Sustainable Future”, officially launched UEH SHARING - CAREER FAIR 2023 Series of Events. Held from April 17th to April 23rd, 2023, this will be a valuable opportunity to connect the business community so as to fulfill social responsibility, to spread multidisciplinary knowledge values, to provide more than 5,000 high-quality job opportunities towards a sustainable future.
On the morning of March 30th, 2023, at Hall A103, University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City held a program to launch UEH SHARING - CAREER FAIR 2023 Series of Events with the participation of representatives from more than 70 businesses and 20 press agencies.
On behalf of UEH, there was the participation of: Prof. Dr. Nguyen Dong Phong - Secretary of UEH Party Committee, Chairman of UEH University Council; Prof. Dr. Su Dinh Thanh - President of UEH University; Dr. Bui Quang Hung - Vice President of UEH University; Dr. Dinh Cong Khai - Vice President of UEH University; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Khac Quoc Bao - Vice President of UEH University; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phan Thi Bich Nguyet - Chairwoman of UEH Strategy and Policy Advisory Council; with the presence of UEH School Leaders, UEH Unit Leaders, and UEH Faculties.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the program, Prof. Dr. Su Dinh Thanh - President of UEH University - stated: “We do believe that “Investing in human development through education is a CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) activity with sustainable values”. Consequently, UEH, through the UEH SHARING – CAREER FAIR 2023 with series of events, aims at being an effective place with the purpose of connecting community resources as well as accompanying UEH’s implementation concerning corporate social responsibility with education and society. Concurrently, through the launch of today’s series of events, UEH looks forward to receiving the understanding and attention from your businesses and partners. Together, UEH shares and receives together, giving wings to the value of knowledge to reach out towards a sustainable future for the community and the society”.

Being the place to connect the community towards fulfilling social responsibility
Along with the economic and social development, education has become one field attracting greatly increasing interest. A diversity of organizations and businesses in the world and in Vietnam have been implementing sustainable investment activities for education listed as investments in school infrastructure and equipment or scholarship awards to support learning and so on, all of which is towards the better society and sustainable development in the future.
Carrying the responsibility of a Key University in Vietnam, University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH), since our establishment in 1976 until the transition towards becoming a Multidisciplinary and Sustainable University today, has always provided a strong effort and commitment to contributing to the sustainable development of society and education. In particular, UEH together with businesses and partners, through the program “Community connectivity - Knowledge spreading - Sustainable implementation”, has brought completely positive values. The impressive results achieved in 2022 are to be listed as follows:
- Enhancing training quality upgrading: 180 enterprises and professional associations participated in the training program; 152 enterprises took part in in the assessment survey in terms of UEH graduates’ quality; more than 4,500 students joined in internship program, corporate semester; 1,588 students had their participation in Business Tour; 5,000 job opportunities were provided from 50 businesses in Ho Chi Minh City Job and Internship Day 2022; 09 billion VND giving to Giving to UEH Fund funded by businesses, partners and individuals.
- Creating a future of innovation and sustainable development: 26 innovative start-up projects; 02 sustainable action projects (Global UEH and Green University - UEH Green Campus); 15 shares of creative and developed spaces.
- Empowering UEH young generation in realizing the dream of being as global citizenship: More than 48.4 billion VND of scholarships to wing dreams and to develop talents were awarded; 4,331 students with financial problems but overcoming difficulties as well as talented students were supported with scholarships; nearly 300 events, student activities were performed together with the companion of businesses.
- Spreading intellectual values: 90 international seminars, national seminars, thematic reports regarding the current issues, contributing to the society; 464 scientific research topics; 856 research articles for the community were published in international journals.

Following these achievements, UEH officially launched UEH SHARING - CAREER FAIR 2023 Series of Events and the starting activities for UEH Program titled “Community connectivity - Knowledge spreading - Sustainable implementation” in 2023. From April 17 to April 23, 2023, this program is to be held both offline at UEH Campus (279 Nguyen Tri Phuong Street, Ward 5, District 10, HCMC) and online on event.ueh.edu.vn platform; vieclam.ueh.edu.vn, hopefully attracting 7,500 participants.

Providing more than 5,000 attractive vacancies
Through 24 successful events, UEH Career Fair has affirmed our brand and reputation, attracting a great deal of attention and registration from prestigious businesses, UEH learners and employees around Ho Chi Minh City area. This year, UEH SHARING - CAREER FAIR 2023, with a new model and fresh look, is expected to attract more than 60 recruitment booths from the fields of Banking - Finance - Insurance, Securities, Accounting, Auditing, Consulting, Consumer Goods - Food, Technology - E-commerce, Construction - Real Estate, Trade - Import-Export - Logistics, Manufacturing - Materials - Energy, Technology and Design and so on. From this foundation, this program is to bring more than 5,000 attractive vacancies through direct and online recruitment, providing information regarding the job market, career trends and diverse internship opportunities for attendees. In addition, candidates have the opportunity to exchange, to be interviewed, to challenge himself/herself by the questions and the challenges at the recruitment booth of the enterprises.
