In 2023, the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) launched numerous art programs with the goal of spreading, nurturing, and promoting artistic values and cultural heritage within the community.
Launch of the Professional School Theatre Stage
On November 17, 2023, the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) and Hong Van Drama Theatre officially signed a partnership and launched the UEH Theatre school stage. This collaboration aims to promote training activities, and spread, and inspire art by leveraging the strengths of both parties.
In 2023, the Project has collaborated with high schools and universities in the city to bring students together to participate in school drama models, with many performances to create a community of civilized, knowledgeable young people who know how to enjoy and appreciate artistic values. One can mention the premiere of the Bac Son Love Song Musical "Bong Canh Co" on the evening of August 1, 2023 at Hall A1.16, UEH Nguyen Dinh Chieu, with Bac Son music, the play evoked messages of family love and left many emotions for the audience. Through the Musical, the audience will experience a cultural space imbued with Southern love, combining dramatic art and homeland-loving music, folk songs with the context of the river delta region. Besides, the musical "Bong Canh Stork" also has profound educational meaning, sending the audience the message of nurturing filial piety and always being grateful to grandparents and parents in life.

The musical “Bông Cánh Cò” (Wings of the Stork) was performed with a cast of young actors from Hong Van Drama Theatre.
On September 28, 2023, the first English musical Lodestar The Musical held at UEH was a success beyond expectations. Staged in the style of a Broadway musical, combining music, dance, and lively, humorous acting, the musical attracted more than 800 students at this unique event of UEH.
This is the combination of tradition and modernity, between young audiences and artists to build and introduce a new art form with many consecutive activities, to form a community that aims for sustainable development and artistic inspiration.
Acoustic Show - a healthy and beneficial cultural and artistic movement for students
In 2023, UEH organized regular Acoustic Shows at UEH English Zone to continue maintaining a healthy and beneficial cultural and artistic movement for students, contributing to the goal of comprehensive education for students, such as the music night "March Partea" on March 31, 2023, "Back to the Water", "Twilight", "X'MAS ENCORE", "ILLUMINATE"....
A Dreamy and Fascinating Atmosphere at the Acoustic Show: Twilight
In November 2023, UEH hosted the Acoustic Show: Twilight, a unique blend of fairy tale and modern elements, offering students an opportunity to explore and experience an engaging musical atmosphere. UEH aims to spread a refreshing breeze to students, allowing them to enjoy positive energy shared through music after intense study hours. Additionally, this event provides a space to improve English skills, offering students a chance to find inspiration for language learning through the power of music.
A Special Musical Gift at the Acoustic Show "X’MAS Encore"
On December 15, 2023, at the B1 Hall of the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH), the Department of Student Support (DSA) and the UEH French Club (CFE) successfully organized a remarkable music program titled “X’MAS ENCORE”. With a blend of music and a festive atmosphere, the event created a memorable night for UEH students.
A Mad Tea Party: Acoustic Show Returns with a Completely New Look
On the evening of March 31, 2023, UEH students once again enjoyed an Acoustic Show performance at the English Park B2, UEH English Zone, hosted by the Department of Student Support (DSA). “March Partea”, as its name suggests, was a unique tea party! Surrounded by soothing, lively songs, the show led students down the rabbit hole, immersing them in a magical journey where they met extraordinary friends, witnessed an intense battle between the Red Queen and White Queen, and joyfully stepped into the enchanting world of Wonderland.
Acoustic Show - Back To The Water: Where the Melody of Water and Wind Meets the Earth
On May 9, 2023, UEH created an English music space called Acoustic Show - Back To The Water to help students enhance their language skills. With familiar English songs and soothing melodies, students were able to feel relaxed and open to new positive experiences. This space also provided a unique opportunity for language improvement, allowing students to find new enthusiasm for learning English through music.
When Everyone Harmonizes at Acoustic Show: The Sound of Unity
On May 17, 2023, the Banking Department and the Department of Student Support (DSA) successfully organized the Acoustic Show: The Sound of Unity. This music night, part of a series of programs co-hosted by DSA and various departments at UEH English Zone, provided entertainment while enhancing students' language skills.
Impressive “An Evening of Classical Serenity” Concert by the New York Classical Music Society at UEH
On the evenings of December 14 and 15, 2023, the international concert “An Evening of Classical Serenity” by the New York Classical Music Society was a great success at the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH). This event created a unique artistic atmosphere and served as a cultural celebration of international unity, commemorating the 31st anniversary of Vietnam-South Korea diplomatic relations (December 22, 1992 - December 22, 2023).
Not only art performances, each activity at UEH also fuels passion for art, nurtures spiritual values, inspires creativity and leads to a more balanced life.
