Assoc.Prof.Dr. Pham Khanh Nam introduced the overview of the research plan report

At the workshop, experts focused on identifying potential research areas in promoting low-carbon transitions for sustainable and inclusive development in developing countries, contributing to shaping future research directions and policy-making in the environment and sustainable development. In addition to standard research directions for Asia and developing countries, content related to research and action strategies in Vietnam were also shared and discussed.

Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen The Chinh (Institute of Economic and Environmental Policy) remarked at the workshop

Speaking at the workshop, experts from the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment highly appreciated the research contents and proposals of EfD. This report will guide international research funding strategies in the upcoming time, thereby providing scientific evidence for effective policy-making and implementation. According to Dr. Mai Thanh Dung, Deputy Director of the Institute of Strategy and Policy, Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, Vietnam is currently conducting consultations on amending many critical legal documents related to the environment. Proposals for each legal document require clear, scientific, and convincing arguments before they can be put into law. Closer participation of environmental economists is essential.

Dr. Mai Thanh Dung (Institute of Strategy and Policy, Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment) asserted at the workshop.

On behalf of the research team, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Pham Khanh Nam thanked the experts for taking the time to attend and actively discuss the workshop. Contributions will be aggregated and sent to the Center for International Development Studies and the Environment for Development Initiative, contributing to the world's standard research orientation in developing action strategies for the Net-zero global goal.
