The UEH Institute of Innovation delegation visited the College of Innovation, Thammasat University in Bangkok to strengthen cooperation in education, research, innovation, and digital transformation.

As part of its commitment to expanding international collaboration in innovation, entrepreneurship, and digital transformation, the UEH Institute of Innovation (UII) paid an official visit to the College of Innovation, Thammasat University (CITU), in Bangkok, Thailand. The visit marked an important step toward fostering practical collaboration between the two institutions in education, research, academic exchange, and the development of a regional innovation ecosystem.
On June 30, 2026, a delegation from the UEH Institute of Innovation, University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH), visited and held a working session with the College of Innovation, Thammasat University (CITU), in Bangkok, Thailand.
The UEH delegation included Mr. Vuong Khiet, Manager of Innovation and Entrepreneurial Programs at UEH, and Mr. Huynh Ngoc Quang Anh, Secretary of the CTD Youth Union Executive Committee, Head of the Studies – Sciences – International Relations Department (SSID) under the UEH Youth Union, and Lecturer at the UEH Institute of Innovation (UII).
The delegation was welcomed by Assoc. Prof. Kom Campiranon, Dean of the College of Innovation at Thammasat University (CITU), together with faculty members and representatives of the College. The meeting took place in an open and friendly atmosphere, with both sides expressing their interest in strengthening future collaboration.

Overview of the working session between the UEH Institute of Innovation and the College of Innovation, Thammasat University
During the meeting, both institutions introduced their development directions, academic programs, research activities, and key initiatives in innovation, entrepreneurship, digital transformation, and ecosystem development. The UEH Institute of Innovation shared its role in promoting innovation education, strengthening students’ entrepreneurial capabilities, connecting with industry, supporting university-based innovation initiatives, and contributing to Vietnam’s innovation ecosystem.

Assoc. Prof. Kom Campiranon, Dean of the College of Innovation at Thammasat University (CITU), welcomes the UEH Institute of Innovation delegation.
CITU also highlighted its strengths in interdisciplinary education, service innovation, technology management, digital transformation, creative industries, and highly practical academic programs. The similarities in the two institutions’ development directions provided a strong foundation for discussing specific opportunities for future collaboration.
A key focus of the meeting was potential cooperation in the following areas:
(1) Strengthening student and faculty exchanges, and jointly organizing study programs, short-term training courses, and teaching activities;
(2) Conducting joint research projects, promoting international co-publications, and developing initiatives in innovation, digital transformation, and entrepreneurship;
(3) Co-organizing regional conferences, forums, and interdisciplinary innovation and entrepreneurship events;
(4) Connecting networks of experts, businesses, and supporting organizations to expand the innovation ecosystem between Vietnam and Thailand.

Both sides also discussed practical activities such as Vietnam–Thailand study tours, academic seminar series on innovation, expert talks, student exchange programs, inter-university hackathons, demo days for student startup projects, and innovation ecosystem networking activities in Ho Chi Minh City and Bangkok.

The visit represents an important milestone in expanding the international partnership network of the UEH Institute of Innovation and advancing UEH’s internationalization strategy in education, research, and innovation ecosystem development. As innovation, digital transformation, and entrepreneurship continue to shape the future of higher education and regional economic growth, this partnership lays the groundwork for meaningful academic collaboration and knowledge exchange.
Through its collaboration with the College of Innovation, Thammasat University, the UEH Institute of Innovation continues to transform UEH’s strategic vision into practical initiatives. The partnership creates new opportunities for students, faculty members, and researchers through academic exchange, joint research, and experiential learning, while further strengthening cooperation between Vietnam and Thailand and reinforcing UEH’s position within the ASEAN innovation ecosystem.
