Series of Seminars on Gender Inequality and Poverty Reduction In March 2023, the College of Economics, Law, and Government (CELG) at UEH organized a seminar titled "Using Role Models to Inspire Marginalized Groups: A Cautionary Tale" at B1.1001. The seminar attracted several faculty members, researchers, and experts for a lively discussion. The research raised important outcomes about the generalizability of interventions using idealized role models in promoting economic activities and increasing household income among ethnic minority groups in Northern Vietnam. The seminar digs into the problems of using role models as a tool for compromising marginalized communities, particularly in the context of economic development and poverty alleviation. This discussion reflects UEH's commitment to addressing critical social issues, such as gender inequality and poverty, through academic research and dialogue.
