Exchange program with business delegations of IMBA alumni of University of Hong Kong and Fudan University, China

On January 18, 2024, at campus B - 279 Nguyen Tri Phuong, District 10, University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) successfully organized "Exchange program with businesses for IMBA alumni of the University of Hong Kong and Fudan University, China".

Attending the exchange program, on behalf of UEH, there was the participation of Dr. Dinh Cong Khai - Deputy Director of UEH; Assoc.Prof.Dr. Pham Duong Phuong Thao - Deputy Head of Research, Development and Global Engagement; Mr. Nguyen Thanh Su - Deputy Head of Department of Marketing and Communications, General Secretary of UEH Alumni Network; Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao, Chief of UEH Office, CTD and CEO of UEH Startup Incubator; with the participation of representatives of the UEH Institute of Innovation and the Institute of Smart and Interactive Technology, UEH EMBA Alumni Association Liaison Committee and start-up groups at the UEH Startup Incubator.

Speaking at the opening of the exchange, Dr. Dinh Cong Khai - Deputy Director of UEH - shared: “We all understand that, in this age, international cooperation among countries as well as the close connection between schools and businesses plays an important role in improving training quality, expanding career opportunities for students, creating high-quality human resources to meet businesses, thereby, contributing to promoting economic growth. This meeting and exchange is not only an opportunity for us to share knowledge and experience but also an opportunity to strengthen and expand the cooperative relationship between UEH and the University of Hong Kong, and Fudan University, connecting the business community that opens up many investment cooperation opportunities between Vietnam and China in general."

Representative of the IMBA Program of the University of Hong Kong and Fudan University, Mr. Tang Lingling - Senior Director of Alumni Affairs shared his emotion to UEH's warm welcome. Besides, he introduced an overview of the IMBA Program and the IMBA alumni business delegation attending the exchange.

Following the program was a sharing about the UEH Institute of Innovation, UEH Startup Incubator, UEH's activities and technology development directions in the future by Mr. Ngo Dang Hoan Thien - UEH Institute of Innovation and Dr. Do Tri Cuong - Institute of Intelligent and Interactive Technology.

Within the framework of the program, UEH representatives and IMBA students from the University of Hong Kong and Fudan University, China had an exchange session and reached a consensus on a number of future activities, including opening international cooperation activities between UEH and the University of Hong Kong and Fudan University, China, organizing a study tour to create conditions for Chinese businesses in general and IMBA alumni businesses to participate in short-term training courses on institutions, laws and business environment in Vietnam as well as connect with Vietnam's business community to promote business opportunities in the markets of both countries.
