On January 14, 2025, the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) was delighted to welcome an MBA delegation from the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) for a visit and exchange at its main campus.

At the beginning of the program, representatives from both institutions jointly organized an academic exchange session for graduate students at UEH Campus B. The visiting delegation had the opportunity to engage in discussions, share learning and research experiences, and participate in cultural and artistic activities aimed at fostering solidarity and integration within the academic community.

Attending the exchange were UEH representatives, including members of the Research, Development, and Global Engagement Division, the COB Office, Dr. Nguyễn Huệ Minh, and Ms. Lê Anh Huyền Trâm, Lecturer at the School of International Business and Marketing, UEH College of Business. Representing the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) was Dr. A K S Chand, Coordinator of the IIFT delegation. Additionally, the event welcomed over 50 enthusiastic UEH students and international MBA participants, who actively participated in various exchange activities.

During the exchange session, Dr. Nguyễn Huệ Minh and Ms. Lê Anh Huyền Trâm delivered presentations about UEH in general, as well as the UEH College of Business and the School of International Business and Marketing in particular. Through their insights, participants not only learned about exchange activities and collaborative programs but also gained valuable information to help them design suitable study and personal development plans.

Ms. Lê Anh Huyền Trâm also shared additional details about international projects, such as SEED, currently taking place at UEH, sparking excitement among the MBA students who are eager to explore international research opportunities. The inspiring insights from UEH representatives motivated the IIFT participants to build well-rounded academic and personal development plans, equipping them to engage in and experience more academic programs and projects at UEH.

Representing the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT), Dr. A K S Chand and outstanding students provided a brief introduction to the institute, highlighting its training programs, partner network, operational achievements, and notable accomplishments throughout its development.

At the end of the program, the IIFT delegation had the opportunity to tour and explore UEH’s Campus B learning facilities, including the Open Lab, Smart Library, Incubation Institute, and more.

The meeting provided an ideal space for both sides to engage in deeper discussions about opportunities for collaboration in education, scientific research, and cultural exchange, thereby strengthening the friendship and ties between the two nations.

Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) was established in 1963 as an autonomous body under the Ministry of Commerce & Industry to contribute in the skill building for the external trade sector of India. It has come a long way to successfully develop into a unique institution involved in imparting knowledge through research and training in international business and trade. The Institute was granted “Deemed to be University” status in 2002. The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) has recognized IIFT as Grade ‘A’ Institution in 2005 as well as in 2015. Over the years, IIFT has emerged as a national university with focus on International Business Management and Strategy, and such focus is reflected in all three major activities of the Institute: Research, Training and Education.
