The 6th Sob Research Seminar 2022: “Discussion Of Professor Desmond Doran About Improving Paper Writing And Increasing Chances For Publication Success”

The 6th SOB Research Seminar 2022 (SRS 2022) was hosted by the School of Banking at the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City on Wed, 14 September 2022, as a hybrid event (virtual and face-to-face presentations). The Seminar addresses the topic "Increase your chances for publication success" presented by Professor Desmond Doran, a specialist in the areas of Operations and Supply Chain Management, at Kent Business School, University of Kent, UK, and a former associate Editor of the International Journal of Operations & Production Management. 
 
 
Professor Desmond Doran has shared his view as an editor/reviewer to help researchers and educators to improve the contents and design of their research papers. Professor Desmond Doran also provided several writing techniques and examples regarding constructing the structured abstract, precise keywords, attractive introduction, proper research method, sufficient contents, accurate conclusion, and implications. 
 
During the Seminar, the researchers and educators also shared their experiences submitting their works to high-ranking international journals and exchanged thoughts about their upcoming research topics. Professor Desmond responded to all questions thoroughly. He also explained why researchers got a desk to reject and advised on how to respond to the reviewers and how to improve the chance of publication.

The 6th SRS 2022 has provided a good opportunity for researchers and educators of UEH to understand the insider view of an international journal reviewer/ editor to improve their research papers to approach suitable journals and increase the chance of publication.
