Accommodating learners with a multi-dimensional perspective to approach and to solve problems

According to the Future of Jobs Report released by the World Economic Forum, the top skills for future employees in the next 3 years are analytical thinking, creative thinking, AI & Big Data, understanding technology, design and user experience (UX/UI).

In today's work and life, the application of technology to specialization is becoming increasingly popular. We have gradually become accustomed to digital marketing services; digital banking (E-banking), E-commerce, interactive virtual reality experiences in exhibition, digital museums, or larger projects on digital transformation in organizations and businesses with increasingly familiar applications such as SAP-ERP, Power BI, etc. Most recently, the Open AI with Chat GPT - a chatbot tool developed by AI, has been launched. This shows that the latest technologies listed as AI, IoT Big Data, and Cloud Computing are gradually becoming key to the economy and society in the near future.

To put it simply, a future marketer not only needs to understand marketing but also website programming, reading big data, how search engines and social networking platforms operate, and other technologies behind that.

Facing changes in the digital era, new-generation learners need to have solid professional knowledge and understanding in an open boundary, interacting and intersecting with other fields. UEH solves this through majors focusing on deepening professional knowledge and connecting with the required multi-disciplinary practice.

Expanding cross-disciplinary job opportunities for graduates, creating a sustainable career journey

Majors at UEH often provide deep and broad expertise, which can lead to different career positions in one field or related fields. Switching careers to a field or related fields is completely normal, it even helps workers improve their experience and ability more comprehensively in that field.

For example, if you study Human Resources Management, you can take on the positions of Human Resources Specialist, Training and Development Specialist, and Recruitment Specialist in the field of human resources. You can also take on interdisciplinary and cross-disciplinary positions such as Human Resources Management Specialist (due to the link between HR and Management), Human Resources Partner Specialist (HRBP) (due to the link between HR and specializations such as Business, Marketing, Finance, etc.), Business Training Management (due to the link between HR - Training - Business), Job evaluation Policy Specialist (due to the link between HR and Effective Management), Salary and Benefits specialist, Salary Accountant, Internal and Cultural Communications Specialist (due to the link between HR and Communications, Public Relations), etc.

Unlike Gen X and Y who outweigh the career pathway, Gen Z and Alpha are predicted to switch from 2 to 3 jobs during their career. Therefore, equipping them with enough intensive and extensive knowledge in related fields is an important foundation to help this future generation be more proactive in important transformation decisions.

Equipped with multidisciplinary knowledge - Understanding the diversity of the labor market - Grasping open opportunities suitable for yourself - these will be the keywords that the future generation of employees need to pursue in their construction of a sustainable career.
