On the morning of April 23, 2026, as part of the "UEH 50 Years - 50 Partners in 5 Continents" program series, the UEH College of Technology and Design (CTD) and the University of Saint Joseph, Macao (USJ) held a meeting and working session, marking an important step forward in the internationalization of education and the expansion of learning and research opportunities for students and lecturers of the two institutions.
Attending the program, from the UEH College of Technology and Design, were: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Trinh Thuy Anh - Rector of CTD; Dr. Dong Su Yi - Vice Dean of the School of Media Design; M.A. Dao Thi Minh Huyen - Chief of Office of CTD; along with lecturers from the School of Media Design. From the University of Saint Joseph, Macao (USJ), attending was: Dr. Álvaro Barbosa - Vice-Rector of USJ.

Overview of the working session
USJ is a higher education institution established in Macao, notable for its interdisciplinary training orientation in the fields of creative industries, arts, and technology. With an international academic environment, advanced teaching programs, and a global cooperation network, USJ is regarded as one of the dynamic academic destinations in the region, particularly in the field of creativity and digital media.
The meeting took place in a close and open atmosphere, with both sides expressing a spirit of long-term partnership, trust, and development. At the same time, strategic cooperation contents were discussed and oriented, including: faculty and student exchange programs, implementation of joint research projects, as well as coordination in organizing academic and creative activities, notably the International Projection Mapping Competition, ArtTech Fusion 2026, scheduled to take place in 2026.

The highlight of the working session was the UEH Flag Journey ceremony marking the 50th anniversary of UEH's establishment, symbolizing the cooperation and partnership between UEH and USJ. This not only marked the beginning of a multi-faceted cooperative relationship but also opened up opportunities for learning, research, and professional development for students and faculty of both universities.

Through knowledge connection, resource sharing, and co-creation, this relationship contributes to promoting academic values in the field of art and technology, while also making positive contributions to the sustainable development goals of society in the context of education globalization.
The establishment of a cooperative relationship with USJ is expected to create a solid foundation for UEH in general and the UEH College of Technology and Design in particular to continue expanding its international partner network, improving training quality, promoting research, and enhancing its academic standing on the international stage.
