UEH School of Banking Connecting to Monash University, Australia: Reporting on Fundamental Issues in Finance - Banking

On January 01^st, 2022, School of Banking affiliated with UEH College of Business invited two speakers teaching at Monash University (Australia) to report relevant aspects of “Fundamental Issues in Finance - Banking” for learners who are postgraduate students of the school.

The reporting session received the participation of PhD. Hannah Nguyen - Official Lecturer of Department of Banking and Finance, Monash University with “Climate risk: The price of drought” article; Assoc. Prof. Thanh Huynh, Department of Banking and Finance, Monash University presented “Joining Forces: The Spillover Effects of EPA Enforcement Actions and the Role of Socially Responsible Investors” research. These researches are parts of a new topic series which is currently paid the most attention - Climate Finance.

After presenting these researches, the speakers answered lots of queries of Post-graduate students of School of Banking regarding the articles, additional current interesting topics, approaching and finding methods to concerning or suitable research topics, as well as popular software for research purposes. Besides, the authors also discussed Machine Learning and the importance of research in the field of Banking and Finance these days.

Postgraduate students of UEH School of Banking excitingly participated in the discussion and exchanged, learned experiences from the speakers.

Conducting the internationalization orientation according to the targets of University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City, in the upcoming time, School of Banking will strongly promote cooperative relations with internationally reputable universities, exchange lecturers, collaborate on research, and so on, to advance learning and teaching quality, develop more greatly UEH to be academically reputable in the Asian Region towards a Multidisciplinary and Sustainable University.
