[UEH 50 Global Partners] UEH Renews Memorandum Of Understanding With The Institute Of Management Accountants (IMA): Elevating Global Financial Human Resources

Attending the ceremony on behalf of UEH were Dr. Dinh Cong Khai - Vice President of UEH; Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Phong Nguyen - Rector of UEH College of Business (COB); Dr. Tran Anh Hoa - Vice Rector of COB; Dr. Nguyen Tan Trung - Chief of Office of COB; and Dr. Nguyen Phuoc Bao An - Dean of the School of Accounting, together with program directors, heads and deputy heads of departments within the School of Accounting, and UEH students.

Representing IMA were Ms. Diana Steinbach - Director of Growth and Marketing; Ms. Tricia Jao - Associate Director, IMA Asia Pacific; Mr. Shawn Tan - Associate Director, IMA Asia Pacific; and Ms. Hanilore Fabul - Assistant Manager, Partnership and Chapters, IMA Asia Pacific.

In addition, the event also saw the presence of representatives from training partners including Smart Train Academy and Navigos Group Vietnam: Mr. Pham Ngoc Hoang Thanh - General Director of Smart Train Academy; Ms. Tran Thi Xuan Mui - Deputy General Director; Ms. Pham Nguyen Thi Ngoc Chau – Director of Accounting & Alumni Relations Division; Mr. Vo Minh Duong, CMA, CFA, MBA, MFin – Director of Finance & Online Solutions Division, Smart Train Academy; Ms. Chu Thi Ngoc Hanh, FCCA, CPA - Chief Financial Officer of Navigos Group Vietnam; Ms. Luu Hoang Minh Ngoc - Marketing Manager (Upzi Brand), Navigos Group Vietnam.

In his opening remarks, Dr. Dinh Cong Khai emphasized that the renewal of the MOU with IMA is a strategic step to enhance student quality to global standards. The renewed cooperation will focus on updating competency frameworks, strengthening industry links, developing lecturers, and promoting the growth of management accounting in Vietnam.

Mr. Shawn Tan - IMA Asia Pacific Representative highly appreciated UEH's efforts in standardizing the management accounting profession internationally, while committing to continue accompanying the university in developing learner capacity, professional ethics, and access to global certifications.

Toward UEH’s 50th anniversary, UEH and IMA officially renewed their Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). A highlight of this agreement is IMA’s commitment to capacity development support: an annual donation of 3 U.S. CMA scholarships for outstanding students and 2 scholarships for UEH lecturers. This agreement opens up significant opportunities for both learners and lecturers to access international management accounting standards.

In his congratulatory remarks, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Phong Nguyen - Rector of UEH College of Business affirmed that cooperation with professional organizations is a key strategy for connecting education with practice. He emphasized that IMA’s companionship serves as an important bridge, helping students not only strengthen their expertise and adapt quickly, but also master digital capabilities and be ready to step into the world with global professional standards.

The successful MOU renewal ceremony further strengthened the strategic relationship between UEH and IMA, opening a new chapter in connecting education with international standards and elevating the quality of global accounting and finance human resources.
