UEH's Commitment to Employee Well-being: Affordable Housing and Supportive Accommodations

15 Nov, 2023

UEH offers affordable housing solutions for employees, demonstrating a commitment to their well-being and creating a supportive work environment. By providing discounted or fully subsidized accommodations at locations such as the UEH Vinh Long branch dormitory, the university eases the financial pressures on staff and faculty, especially for those from other provinces or countries. This accommodation includes essential amenities, allowing employees to focus on their teaching, research, and professional responsibilities without worrying about high housing costs. The dormitory’s proximity to work facilities further reduces commuting expenses and supports environmentally friendly practices by minimizing the need for personal vehicles. For employees who prefer external accommodations, UEH also offers a monthly housing allowance, ensuring flexibility and support tailored to individual needs. Through these initiatives, UEH fosters a stable and engaged workforce, enhancing job satisfaction, retention, and the overall campus experience.

UEH Hotel serves as an "Academic Hotel" with various amenities to support professionals, researchers, and faculty members during their work stays at the university. It is closely connected to various UEH campuses and branches, including the Library, conference meeting rooms, self-study, and research areas, forming a network that promotes and supports education and research for the benefit of UEH scholars, researchers, faculty, and students.

UEH Hotel offers a range of discount policies to facilitate these activities:

  • Full support (100%) of accommodation and UEH Hotel amenities for foreign experts, researchers, and speakers working and collaborating with UEH.
  • Full support (100%) of accommodation for staff, faculty, and visiting delegations from UEH branches when traveling for work in Ho Chi Minh City.
  • 20% discount on accommodation for UEH staff, employees, and students when staying for study or research purposes.

For Vinh Long Branch:

The Vinh Long branch provides housing allowances and living expenses support for staff from outside Vinh Long Province who come to work at the branch. A dormitory is available for staff and employees at the UEH Vinh Long campus, equipped with all necessary amenities for work, rest, study, and research. This dormitory is located near the branch’s teaching and work facilities, allowing staff to save on travel costs and reduce the use of private vehicles, which supports environmental protection efforts.

Additionally, for staff who prefer other accommodations outside the dormitory, UEH provides a monthly housing allowance of 1,500,000 VND per person to support and motivate them to focus on their work.

The Vinh Long branch has also invested in the Mekong Hotel, a modern accommodation option in the region, offering housing and dining services for visiting researchers, partners, and lecturers. Mekong Hotel provides a 20% discount on accommodation for UEH staff, employees, and students from other UEH campuses and branches visiting for work purposes. To further accommodate visiting researchers, partner faculty, and working delegations, Mekong Hotel offers discounts ranging from 20% to 100% depending on the length of stay and purpose of work.
