[UEH 50 Global Partners] UEH and ISCA Sign Cooperation Agreement to Develop Professional Certificate Programs in Sustainable Development

On June 30, 2026, the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) and the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants (ISCA) signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA), establishing a cooperation framework for the joint development and implementation of co-branded professional certificate programs in sustainable development.

Overview of the working session

At the meeting and working session between UEH and ISCA, representing UEH were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Quang Hung - UEH President; Dr. Dinh Cong Khai - Vice President of UEH; Dr. Le Thi Hanh An - Deputy Head of the Department of Communications and Partnerships; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Thi Mai Hoai - Director of the Sustainable Finance Institute (SFI); Dr. Pham Thai Binh - Deputy Director of SFI; Dr. Nguyen Phuoc Bao An - Head of the School of Accounting; Dr. Phan Thi Bao Quyen - Deputy Head of the School of Accounting; along with program directors and lecturers from various UEH schools and institutes.

Representing ISCA were Mr. Tan Wei Luo - Executive Director in charge of International Development and Partnerships; Mr. Phu Nguyen - Vietnam Country Director; Ms. Emily Le and Mr. Thai Quoc Tien - Business Development Specialists.

Speaking at the ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Quang Hung stated that this cooperation between UEH and ISCA combines UEH's training and practical expertise in sustainable development with ISCA's professional certification ecosystem and regional network, meeting the growing demand for human resources to serve the transition towards sustainable development in Vietnam and the region.

Mr. Tan Wei Luo also expressed his vision for future cooperation between ISCA and UEH, while extending congratulations to UEH on the occasion of its upcoming 50th anniversary.

According to the agreement, the UEH Sustainable Finance Institute (SFI-UEH) has been designated by UEH as the lead unit responsible for implementing the cooperation. SFI-UEH will serve as the academic lead, coordinating and managing the program, developing and delivering offline training content, and overseeing the academic quality of the entire program. ISCA will provide the online learning platform, develop and manage the online learning content and assessments according to the syllabus agreed upon by both parties. Upon completion of the program and fulfillment of academic requirements, participants will be awarded co-branded UEH-ISCA certificates in accordance with program regulations.

The working session concluded with the UEH Flag Journey ceremony – a ritual conducted within the framework of the "UEH 50 Years - 50 Partners in 5 Continents" program, marking an important step in UEH's education internationalization strategy.

Toward the 50-year milestone (October 27, 1976 – October 27, 2026), the UEH 50+ Global Partners in 5 Continents "Embracing Global Connection" program, held throughout 2026, is a strategic initiative to connect 50 partners across 5 continents, expand and deepen UEH's global cooperation network, promote transnational academic, training, and research collaboration, and affirm UEH's role as a multidisciplinary, sustainable university in the global knowledge ecosystem.

This program is part of the series of 22 key activities aimed at repositioning and assigning new roles to the 8 heritage values created over UEH’s 50-year journey: Unity – Compassion – Dedication – Community – Pioneering – Creation – Sustainability – Internationalization.
