As part of its ongoing efforts to expand international partnerships and strengthen education and research in line with its internationalization strategy, the UEH College of Business (COB) officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB), Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR), Indonesia on the morning of July 22, 2026, at Campus B, Universitas Airlangga, Surabaya, Indonesia.
Attending the signing ceremony, representatives from UEH School of Business included Assoc. Prof. Le Nhat Hanh - Interim Dean of the School of Management; Dr. Diep Quoc Bao - Deputy Dean of the School of Management; and representatives of the School of Management faculty.
Representing the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR), the ceremony was attended by Prof. Dr. Rudi Purwono - Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business, along with representatives of the faculty leadership and faculty members.
Assoc. Prof. Le Nhat Hanh shared that the cooperation agreement with FEB - Universitas Airlangga marks an important milestone in the UEH College of Business's strategy to expand its international partnership network. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Nhat Hanh expressed her hope that this partnership would create more opportunities for faculty members and students to participate in academic exchange, scientific research, and capacity-building activities in an international environment, while contributing to enhancing the quality of education and academic standing of both institutions.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Prof. Dr. Rudi Purwono emphasized that establishing a partnership with the UEH College of Business would open up new opportunities for research, academic exchange, and the development of internationally oriented training programs. He expressed his expectation that both sides would leverage their respective strengths to jointly develop valuable cooperation initiatives, contributing to the development of higher education in the ASEAN region.

According to the agreement, the two sides agreed to cooperate in several key areas, including student, faculty, and staff exchanges; co-organizing seminars and scientific conferences; implementing joint research projects; developing academic programs and learning materials; coordinating community service activities, internship programs, faculty development, teaching assistant and visiting professor programs. The agreement not only expands opportunities for academic exchange but also provides a foundation for the two educational institutions to build a strategic, sustainable, and long-term partnership.

Notably, the partnership between the UEH College of Business and the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Airlangga, had already been established through various practical activities prior to the signing of the agreement. The two sides have collaborated on student exchange programs, providing opportunities for UEH students to study and engage in international exchange at Universitas Airlangga. In particular, during the summer of 2026, UEH students participated in an academic and cultural immersion program in Indonesia, contributing to their international integration capacity, broadening their global perspectives, and developing global skills. These initial outcomes provide a foundation for the two sides to further expand their cooperation programs in the time ahead.
As part of the working visit, representatives of the UEH College of Business and the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Airlangga, jointly conducted the UEH Flag Journey activity under the "UEH 50 Years - 50 Partners in 5 Continents" program. Beyond marking a new stage in the partnership between the two institutions, the activity also promotes UEH's image and reaffirms the University's commitment to expanding its international partnership network, strengthening cooperation in education and research, and realizing its goal of becoming a multidisciplinary and sustainable university aligned with international standards.

In the time ahead, the UEH School of Business and FEB-Universitas Airlangga will continue to translate the agreement into concrete initiatives through academic exchange programs, collaborative research, the development of international training programs, and innovative educational initiatives. Both sides expect the partnership to serve as a foundation for advancing projects with practical impact, enhancing the international standing of both institutions, and strengthening academic connections between Vietnam and Indonesia.
